[Image credit: Bering Yachts]

  1. Makes no sense.looked at the plans on bering.A gap by stairs.Stairs walking down onto seeting.Also.How can you have 2 crew for 8 guests.Captain – engineer .chef.when docking.you need 4 to be safe on this type of boat.Yes i know the marina can help.Who does the night watch.? Who serves the guests and watches them when in the water. Is the captain serving dinner. All boats need someone on watch at all time.Unless it is sailing freinds together. Its unsuitable for charter.Unless one of the guest cabins is made for crew.and only 6 guests. You see some boats with 10 guests.have minimum 6 crew.Imagine if there is a problem.captain on bridge and problem in engine room.Who captains the boat. The chef ?

  2. A great channel, I love your well informed easygoing style. I an 80 years old and in the latter stages of prostate cancer, I will never have a boat of my own, but can live out my fantasies though your channel, thank you so much, Peter

  3. Hi!!!
For me a Explorer 24m yacht must have:
    a) self vertical position
    b) no Flybridge
    c) garage for the tender and more
    d) stainless stell hull
    e) single low rev motor
    f) lot of solar panels and litium batteries
    g) alternator/motor for navigation at low speed
    What do you think?
    Many thanks.
    Best regards.

  4. I have noticed that no one mentions the hieght of these or any other yacht for someone who would do the inland water route also? Love the boat design!

  5. You've landed a big hit with this beauty, chapeau! In particular, the silence, low vibration and the safety standard. I would just replace the ladder to the water by the swim platform with a decent retractable stair case. Because older people are more for stairs. Otherwise all good. Very good!

  6. Bering Yachts are defiinetely a reference – in quality, capacity and design. Maybe even the best beeing done out there in the genre. I own a Beneteau 34 footer and for me it feels like (for now) a comfortable limit for single-owner operation (I'm always glad to have a friend to help with the tie-up, especially in windy conditions). Even if practice makes perfect, the Bering 75 is still a huge ship. Very massive. It looks intimidating to perform marina manouvers in a single owner/couple only context. However, if you can afford 1 or 2 deckhands to help with all that, it would be extremely comfortable, as many marinas/ports don't have 24h service and it's always nice to have help for the tie up on such big and heavy ships (I'd personally be scared pooless of having to do it alone or with an inexperienced passenger friend, in spite of the 75's excellent manouvering qualities).
    Of course, if you can afford a Bering 75, affording 1 or 2 deckhands shouldn't be a problem… 😉
I personally prefer the Bering 70, just for its inverted / plumb bow look. Very sexy! <3
Still concerning the Bering 75, the Nautiguys/Nautistyles (sorry for mentioning the competition) have extensive videos on all Bering Models (they bought a 75 for themselves, so lots of useful information, if you want to make yourself an idea).
I'm contemplating sailing a 56 footer next year. If God allows that to happen, that will be my greatest challenge but on that size, I'm definitely bringing friends to help with the tie up! 😉
So it all depends on how you intend to use it. A Bering 65 might be a better (more comfortable) choice for a couple, in my opinion. 🙂
