1. Suprised they didnt send you the much improved rocna Vulcan. – but you did just get a $1000 anchor for free! They are very generous!!! I got a Kong swivel on the way too 🙂 cant wait, my chain always gets twisted. Just a heads up, Kong reccomends a few links of chain between the anchor and the swivel to overcome side loading. Or a wide bow shackle. Good content cheers!

2. Rocna is the best anchor we have had. Better than the plow. I have also heard the Sarca is even better from a friend who has used both.

17. Vernon. Great choice with the Rocna. I recently had to anchor off Lord Howe Island late at night in 25m of water with only 60m of chain available. The Rocna i have did not move an inch over 8 hours in 25knots of wind on a sandy bottom. Beyond spec but I had to do it and pleased Rocna was there. I replaced by dragging CQR last year with this Rocna and it’s performed every time. Enjoy. Regards Don

18. The first thing I do when buying a new boat is to add a ROCNA anchor, saves me stressing about dragging in a good blow. Good onya guys!👍

19. ROCNA designed by kiwi peter smith. youve got the perfect setup now.i put 3 links of chain between kong and a good shackle attached to anchor to stop kong taking any sideways pull.

28. Good informative video Vernon. I’m sure Marie that you enjoyed marina life for a few days. Long showers! There are a few views on swivels. We’ve got about half a metre of chain between the anchor and swivel. As you can’t see the guts of it we put a new one on every few years. Keep having fun. 😀 We’re heading south now
