1. I started watching your channel then learned about GGR and found out about you brother, then your Dad. I see where the sailing genes came from now. WOW. I watch your channel to get solo sailing tips (or any experienced tips). I pause the video to try to study your set up. Love when you explain tips ( like talcum powder) and all stuff like that. Please keep showing that kind of stuff. If I had the knowledge you have in your pinky I’d feel a lot more confident! Cheers Peter!

  2. This is probably going to be too far out of your way, but Fort Jefferson in the Dry Tortugas is an amazing thing to see. It was built in the mid 1800's from 16 million bricks that were all brought in by sailboat. It was built on the last island of the Florida Keys chain of islands, some 70 miles past Key West. It's a national park now with a nice anchorage. Not much there beyond the fort, but I found it to be a relaxing place to hang out for a week once. No supplies, but you can buy a buffet lunch from a daily ferry that comes from Key West. : ) Granted, the Panama Canal will be a lot more impressive, but I find it amazing to see what people did once upon a time.

  3. As an FYI, Practical Sailor did radar reflector tests a number of years ago, and ones like the one you just installed where judged to be almost useless. The Echomaster ones were by far the best. Let's hope you can find one and install it. But the video was tops, as usual.

  4. I love watching Waxwing run with a bone in her mouth. Some good sailing. I joined you on Patreon, but only as a deckhand. 🙃 Would like to help more, but better than nothing I suppose. Best to you and Waxwing.

  5. Hi Peter. I'm fitting Casper out at Arbroath (a Hunter Legend 460) in readiness to sail the Atlantic and beyond. I have the chance of a 14ft spinnaker pole for the foresail once in the Trade Winds, would you mind telling me the length of your pole? I enjoy your videos. Bill

  6. Hope you have a great weekend too. A little chilly here this morning, the 1st heavy mist of the season was rising from the gorge at 7.30am. Your video rought back memeries of Mount Tidy, I've visited many times but always been too windy for the cable car each time! Do you do any fishing aboard? I love to fish, just not much of interest to me on The Severn. Amazing sailing, beautiful sights….and sounds! Loving the videos and it was great view with the drone. Stay safe xx

  7. I agree with Cameron Vallejo, the best time in the week is watching your video. Inspired to follow to Madeira, then Canaries. Would love to have seen more of Carina! Great footage of sailing and maintenance! ⛵️

  8. I remember reading about your dad's adventures on the Limerick Leader as a kid, I'll bet he's proud of you following the wake of his boat around the world. Safe seas Peter 🐬
