  1. Who is paying the docking fee ? I can't see Monaco allowing this yacht to stay without it paying docking fees .

  2. The elite will travel in super yachts and private jets, but you will be required to live in a 15 minute city to “save the environment”

  3. Just to clear abit up. The abandoned yacht was at former Trinity Yachts yard on France rd in New Orleans. Trinity ran into alot of money issues really from jump. State kicked in money for the yard as long as certain employee numbers were met. Long and short of it, Trinity was making a full move to Gulfport, MS and mothball France rd site. Governor Blanco stepped in and said, " we want our money back". Yard stayed with a skeleton crew at best until Katrina hit. That gave Dane his get out of jail free card. Mothballed and left for Gulfport. The yacht in question has sat since about 1-2 years ago where is was finally moved to gulfport. Insurance paid. Trust me, I often looked at it and wanted to scrap LOL. That would have been a nice junk of change during the recession when metals went sky high. 😁

  4. Thank you my super yacht's spokesperson.
You rock on up to date information. I will give an example from my own experience with just a 26 foot (Larson) $7000 bill on basic outdrive yearly maintenance. Sitting in salt water takes its toll on parts, had to replace Hydraulic lift cylinders, that corroded right through, leaking OIL., New throttle cable.repaint with bottom paint. Hull waxing done by me and wife with help from my mini Australian Shepherd. He likes to take my polishing rags When in the boat repair yard, there were workers cleaning WAXING other vessels hulls. Just saying this as a small time example.
But just looking at your photo shows. The Hull must be in ship shape, continued cleaning all the time. Million dollars expensive on upkeep
I'm trying to sell my ( Larson) right now.

  5. Of course if I had that kind of money I would have paid $10 million dollars for it but I don't have $10 million dollars I don't even have a million dollars but yeah I would love to have that ship but knowing what it would take to fix it up or have to have more than that a lot more than that and I don't get 70 million dollars to put anything together if I can't even come up with $500,000 well I can't have the ship but it's a nice ship.

  6. I really do not understand your interest in Russian-owned yachts, so what…let them be. The shoe could be on the other foot and they could be British-owned yachts!

  7. I have a close friend who works in private finance in Monaco. There is a story doing the rounds that Prince Fahd is operating under an order of constraint which limits severely his ability to move money around. The order was (allegedly) issued by a court in Saudi Arabia in response to a case brought by a creditor who "got tired of waiting for Fahd to pay his debts", and there are rumours that the creditor is another member of the Al-Saud royal family. My source describes the story as plausible, and if it were true, it would explain a number of other strange occurrences in the principality.

  8. Ha loveing the chanel,
Over the past 18 months/2 years it seams that more Italian built yachts are having fires on board and sinking than other yacht manufacturers is this the case if so are Italian yachts safe.
    Thank Andy (Portsmouth Uk)

  9. A boat, any boat is a hole in the water in which you throw money to keep them afloat. When the US Navy tires of spending a billion a year per carrier to keep their 10 billion carriers (per carrier build cost) afloat, they sell them to a scrapper for 1 cent. Hope credit suisse fares better.

  10. I get main stories and be stories from my google browser on my phone, and your video came up. I had already watched it, but i thought that was cool. It's normally abcnews, cnn, businessinsider and things like that

Also, does anyone keep an interior like that if they bought it? The Saudis have a distinct flavor to put it mildly

  11. @eSysman – I'm pretty sure your 40% built yacht is in Cape Town. Timelines, size and looks match what was / is quite a landmark here…

  12. amazes me that people like that Prince or Donald Trump can keep walking into banks like Credit Suisse and get these ridiculously huge loans no problems, no questions asked and then they can default on them just as quickly AND be able to go back and get more loans because HEY, they are rich right?

  13. You know my neighbor has a $250,000 wakeboard boat in his driveway and he hasn't used it in over a year. So, I guess its all relevant to how much money you make.

  14. This sounds exactly like the reason supercars are abandoned in Dubai. Men buy these expensive cars in Dubai and when they lose their jobs or fall behind in payments, they have to ditch the car and move out of Dubai, otherwise, they will face prison time since defaulting on debt is considered theft.

  15. Sad to see something of such value left to get into disrepair particularly in Monaco of all places surely if its moored in Monaco it was moved when the boat show etc was on, someone will take it on and put it back to how it should be as what's happening is a crime in theory.
