Navigare în siguranță. Barcă: White Shadow este un Van De Stadt „Seal” 36 (11 metri). Este realizată manual din oțel, 2004, cu o santină rotundă (cocă) și un acoperiș de vagon modificat. Acest lucru o face „unică” și, după părerea mea, cel mai frumos Van De Stadt 36 construit vreodată. Echipamentul camerei: Camera principală este un Panasonic Hc-V700 cu un microfon extern Rode cu un burete și un pisoi mort atașat. Acțiunea, scenele subacvatice și blogging-ul mic se realizează cu două camere de acțiune Osmo. Unele fotografii cu barca sunt realizate cu o cameră Dji gimbal. Editare: Final cut pro pe un Macbook. Majoritatea materialului pentru fiecare videoclip este filmat pe o perioadă de câteva săptămâni sau cam asa ceva, iar editarea fiecărui episod se face, în mod normal, pe parcursul unei zile. Acest proces poate dura mai mult dacă se folosește muzica originală sau dacă sunt necesare permisiuni pentru materialele protejate prin drepturi de autor etc. Se petrece mult timp rezolvând problemele tehnice. În acest caz, în mod normal, primesc ajutorul unei persoane mai tinere care înțelege chestii informatice! Există, de asemenea, momente în care filmarea, editarea și încărcarea nu sunt posibile din cauza faptului că sunteți pe mare sau în locații fără acces la internet. Conținut: am descoperit că filmarea și lansarea de materiale într-o perioadă de timp este mai bună decât să faci videoclipuri în stil „vlog” și să încerci să faci episoade din ceea ce s-a întâmplat într-o săptămână, indiferent dacă este un conținut bun sau nu. Filmând pe o perioadă de timp, pot fi mai selectiv în ceea ce privește fiecare videoclip. Scopul meu este să evit „fail și banal” și să am cel puțin unul sau două evenimente interesante și interesante în fiecare videoclip. Fiecare videoclip trebuie să fie distractiv.   4. @14:00 you mention safety line in the middle of the boat and why not to put them on the side. I did not know that. I am not a boat person but I have enjoyed your journey over the past 18months. Anyways, when you are at sea, why dont you drag a 50ft tow rope behind your boat? you mentioned in a previous episode that if you fall out of the boat, you will not be able to swim to it to catch up, but if you fall out, you can at least swim to the back and catch the tow rope? Just a thought

  7. Glad to hear you mention the safety line issue. It has always been a pet peeve of mine. If the tether and Jack lines together are long enough to send you over the life lines; then you are just dangling and banging against the hull of the boat with little chance of getting back on. Cheers.

  10. Hi Barry,
    Do yourself a favor, learn to sail. For years I've been watching you drift under crapy sail trims while blaming the weather and your boat, which isn't fair. If you invest a bit of time and effort in learning and practing you points of sail and the corresponding trims, you'll be less a puppet of the wind, you'll make your passages less difficult than you often complain about, you'll be able to sail to windward, and you should be able to average more than 100 NM/day on this boat.
    Just a friendly honest advice.

  11. Pal, I hope FIJI is worth it. Sailing gives a man the chance to experience the pits and the peaks doesn't it? You need a friend that can sail that thing from anchor ball to anchor ball, and one with a plane 🙂 Enjoy that pizza, you earned it.

  21. Exactly. I don't understand either why people run their jack lines on port and starbord. Fake safety. Even if you don't sail solo and you fall over and hang by the top sides,it is really hard for the crew to pull you up again. That is, if they can manage to pull you up before you drawn by being pulled on the side of the boat.

    I watched the part you played with my Virtual reality glasses 😵‍💫😳🤪I had forgotten I get sea sick first 2 days til my body adjusts.. lol!

  28. Hopefully you are up to speed with Fijian authorities clearing in/out procedures. I’ve seen other crews leave one area and not clear out ending in a $1400 fine and have to go back to the previous clearance port. Good luck.

  35. I really enjoyed the portion without narration, not that I don't enjoy your voice Barry .. I do .. but it was very effective in providing a realistic perspective of being out there. I wish more folks did that.
