You ROCK!!!
Whatever happened to ladyk gaming?was really enjoying it.
Beneteau 361 or 351 is a better choice than a 343 or 331 ,put them beside they are way larger and have crossed Oceans and gone around the world
Nice! learned alot.
When we bought our boat a surveyor gave us some advice when making an offer: make an offer that would offend us if we were the sellers. It worked out for us. It’s all about the market,Good video ,what’s going on with your boat?
Great video Cap. Looking forward to part 2!
Excellent Tim!! Diesel engines are the true workhorses of the engine world! I was a truck driver for 20+ years, a well maintained diesel will carry you through many hours and years.
Thank you!
Cheers to you from FRIGID Edmonton Alberta.
Excellent video Tim.
Tim, you’ve found a great niche, and you’re doing great!
We switched up to our 1978 Freeport 41 Ketch in 2019.
We are heading out in 2023 through the Eastern Great Lakes to the East Coast and ultimately to the Bahamas.
Our previous boat, a 1965 Columbia 33 Caribbean just arrived in the Bahamas. Her second trip. Her name is Ruby.
There are a lot of old boats that are totally ready to take you on your dreams!
Your thought process and logic is unique and helpful. Your thoughtful storytelling delivery drove new thoughts and insight that emboldens me.
Your view on O'Day 27 footer
Hi Tim, what you think about 41' Cheoy Lee Rhodes Reliant 1973.Beutifull boat located. Great condition. Please let me know. Thanks
Great episode Tim. Can we look forward to a StarLink update/review soon as well? I've dialed back my boat plans to finding warm places to work from all year long, while maintaining a home in MD and will need reliable internet regardless of where I am. The thoughts of crossing the Atlantic on something less than my previous trips aboard an aircraft carrier have waned and most of my plans involve Chesapeake Bay to Bermuda, Bahamas, the Flor-i-da Keeeys 😁
Great Video. I bought a sailboat in Ontario 3 years ago. It was private sale. I was expecting a tax bill and ownership doc in the mail but nothing ever came. is that unusal ? maybe covid slowed the process down? Anyone know?
With as many people getting into sailing because of you tube, I think step 1 should be to go sailing, take a course like ASA 101. Find out if this is something you really want to do before you drop some serious money into a boat.
Great timing, Tim! 🦘⚓ I really heard that "go small, go cheap, go now" & realised my own limitations too. Lady K Discord is great to ask people. I've narrowed to a 30-34, I'll take sea-keeping over speed since I hate club racing anyway (I blame Moths!). Must have a decent quarter-berth at least & be capable of our East Coast north of Sydney…
PS: There's an ex-Montreal Island Packet for sale in Newcastle, NSW, I posted a link on Discord. We don't see many.
great video Sir!
I got a helms 27 1983 model for cruising love the boat love the way it feels everything about it I just can't find much information other than it's a Catalina clone built three times stronger and better I wouldn't mind hearing a video of the helms boat in the history if you don't mind
Great video. Would love you to do a similar episode on boats under $20,000 for people with big ambitions, little money and a lot of elbow grease. 😊
Great video Tim! Thank you very useful.
Great info as always, Tim! Enjoy the vacation!
Great episode Tim!
One of the reasons to sell a boat, a house or a person, is because you have important things you want to do elsewhere. Get rid of the crap you don't want and move on. Those are good deals.
Great vid as always. At what price point would you start considering paying for the survey? I can totally see it for a 80K – 100K boat, but would you pay for one on a 10K boat for example? Thanks for your time and great content!
Actually, step one is convincing your better half to let you buy a sail boat. 🤣
Great video and very good idea to close this saga "what boats can we buy in this or that bracket."
PS The question that I'm asking myself now is what will be the smallest/cheapest (model, year) production sailboat to safely cross Atlantic, sail to UK, Baltic in the right moments of the year. Or using other words what is the cheapest/smallest production sailboat that can handle 8 in the Beaufort scale without constant worry about the integrity.
This is a really helpful video. Thanks. Looking forward to part 2. 😀
It would appear you are just copying @chasinglatitudes videos, maybe just reach out to him so he can give you a list of his upcoming videos and you can just copy him that way ?
Great content, as usual. You seem to be using a filter these days that takes away your wrinkles for a moment, then adds them, then takes them away, etc. It's a bit distracting and you honestly don't need it. Just let the video roll without filters. We care about content, not a wrinkle or two on your forehead.
