Un nume care a fost foarte familiar în „boat-hold”-ul nostru în ultimii 10 ani, deoarece produc monococa preferată de Matt pe pământ – Bestevear. În turul nostru, putem vedea fiecare etapă a construcției lor – de la încadrare, la interioare, la produsul finit. Ne-am distrat de minune făcând acest tur – nu numai pentru că ne aflăm în mijlocul unei ambarcațiuni pe care o construim noi înșine, ci și pentru că în urmă cu șase ani eram în mijlocul unei reconstrucție a unei bărci din aluminiu. In the 70’s I worked on an old 86 foot wooden king crab boat and one summer I helped put on a new Aluminum bow and it already had a steel stern. I got weld burns in my eyes ouch! I love your channel and adventures.

For all you Greenies in this group Aluminum doesn't occur naturally in the environment — it has to be created using a mineral called bauxite. Like oil, aluminum is a limited resource and inefficient to produce. It takes approximately 20 tons of bauxite to make 1 ton of aluminum.
Back in the 80's a home builder built a powercat out of Aluminium. This is sadly pre YT so although there is a lot of photos and some video not the step by step interesting videos that you produce. It took him 5 years and is 100 foot long and still doing charters down in Mexico.
Awwwww, man! I wanna visit the aluminum boat yards… I plan to build an aluminum catamaran/trimaran for the El Cano challenge…

Seeing all that aluminum blew me away. If you know the cost of panels of it, it is SUPER expensive IF you can get it. What beautiful boats they are building.

What's the relationship between the final displacement of a boat and the material that it's made of and the amount of cargo/equipment it can carry? If a boat like that aluminum boat were built in steel and another in fiberglass, would the hull shape vary between each boat that they would each carry a similar load?

Yes, Holland, and, most of Europe is very cold during the winter and early spring. Having spent 7 yrs as an US Army dependent while my dad was stationed in Germany, but his particular skill took him all over the Continent. Great memories in Germany. I would love to tour these boat yards the Dutch have.
