Goats are pretty good swimmers and have been known to cross to other islands in search of food, but I can't be totally sure if they swim between those particular islands..

Great episode of sailing and doing cool boat, fishing, beer, etc but this episode also hurt 😂. Minus degree temps here in Ohio.
At about 10:10, yes, easing the main sheet is correct. Also called depowering or feathering the main. If your angle of heel goes much past 25 degrees or so then it is definitely the right move to make her sail a little flatter and gain speed.

I don't know about all animals, but deer can swim quite a ways, and do here on the coast of NC where I live. They often swim across to the islands in the intercoastal waterways. Merry Christmas!
