—————————— Când așteptați următorul videoclip, vă recomandăm următoarele canale YouTube: Sampson Boat Co Sailing Magic Carpet Acorn To Arabella My First Boat Sail Life Project Brupeg Sailing Uma Teulu Tribe Ship Happens Sailing Yaba RAN Sailing SAILCARGO INC. 1. Excellent video, as usual. It is so good to see you realize the extent of the project and to learn how you intend to go through it.
It is all compromises with boats. Happy New Year to you and yours. I think it is the right decision with the coating, we thought of using a paint that would be like a rubberized sealant but nothing last forever so we bought the best two part regular paint we could find and commit to putting a little dab of rust converter than paint when even we notice a little stain of rust. We enter that into the maintenance log book so we can monitor re-appearance.
Now that I know, I love the name! 🙂

  2. Outside of the matrix there is no such thing as a globe.

3 For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; 4 And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.

    2 Timothy 4:3-4

Aside from that you make a very nice looking couple and your editing of videos is exceptional!

  3. With the history of ships, sailing, racing and bunnies, it would be so much fun if you could bring a new Rum to market, called Captain Coney's Flying Rabbit Rum.
Enjoy the New Year, great good luck with restoring this magnificent ship and thank you for sharing!

  4. The "rolling two year" timeframe is a reference to Leo Sampson Goolden who is rebuilding the classic yacht TALLY HO within that timeframe. It has the benefit of launching two years early. Since we're a floating refit we don't really have a launch date. We hope we will be done with the refit work within two years and then start the conversion to a sailing ship. It's probably in between 5 and 10 years until we can start the circumnavigation mentioned in the video.

  5. It sounds like a well-considered plan. Germany seems an expensive choice for the deck replacement, but I'm sure you know the situation a lot better than I do. Best of luck, and I look forward to following you as you get through that refit.

  6. I really enjoyed the atmospheric quality of this video. Seeing all this adds context to your project. Right from the start, I was curious because both of you look like characters that stepped out of a classic painting–and the scenes of the places you grew up in make that seamless and natural. While this video was very personal, it also felt welcoming. Your references to other video series shows how connected the wider community is. So well done and fun to watch.

  7. I have seen better vessels than that sold for scrap. You should have got some professional advice before you purchased the vessel. Looking at the frames and shell plating she is beyond repair. Just remember that a old vessel just gets older and the costs get greater. Any way best of luck to you both. Start doing the euro lottery 😃

  8. Austria is very pretty it used to be a big empire in Europe.

Liability well, i think you are right about that. Certifications and all that. A boat has to be insured…

The Mediterranean, at least its warm over there. As long as you don't have to pull people from rubber boats aboard it should be all good. 😛

Just for fun: "marine traffic", and "adsbexchange" are fun to watch, while you can see boats in the water, and planes in the air. It was very cool to see what was in the skies when visiting my mother @ new years eve. Incoming airplanes at Schiphol, a police helicopter above Amsterdam. 🙂 With an RTL dongle you can receive these signals without the need for internet. Of course, the Elon Musk internet should be available even on the ocean…. O well..

Any way, not much to say. Good luck with the renovation and the vacation.

    Greetings,

    Jeff

  9. A noble plan I wish you luck and will continue my observation from afar (New Zealand) maybe one day I will see The Flying Coney here in Auckland, A great video also I travelled allot to Bavaria and Austria in the 90's for work usually in January February and March not easy when flying from Auckland often straight from my Christmas holiday on my boat so 30degrees C to -20 degrees C a 50 degree differential. I very much used to enjoy the walking around at night enjoying the street food just like that.

  10. Nice video. I might suggest to garner more support you will need to present more videos more frequently than you have been. Looking forward to your next video.

  11. I really enjoy the way you two work together. Thanks for mentioning how this is done. I watch several YouTube videos and it is always the dynamic of how people work together that seems to get my attention. I am rooting for you to have much success in the next "Two Years"

  12. Very good to hear your up coming plans.
Have followed your project from the start. Very keen to see the progress in the months ahea
One thing I notice with a lot of steel barges / boats in the North have concrete in the bilge or as floors
I can only see this practice as a short term fix and creating a major headac for future owners. WHY do they do it ?
Happy New Year and wish you success in your project.
Cheers from Ross down under in New Zealand.

  13. Really enjoying the channel, have you thought about weekly videos, may increase you revenue and I get to watch more.
Keep up the great work , she’s a good looking boat.
“My first boat” on YouTube just fitted a bow thus tee to a large barge, may be worth a look.
    Thanks for sharing.

  14. I'm so pleased that your answer was "YES", you are still satisfied with your decision to buy Sailing Coney, despite the unforeseen problems. And although it may take several years before the fullness of your ambitions are realized, at least you will be living on board a floating vessel in the meantime. I'm really looking forward to the different phases of the project. Thank you for taking us home with you. I lived in Bavaria in 1970-71 and visited Austria during that time–such a beautiful country. Seeing you at the Chrismas market brought back fond memories of Glühwein and Lebkuchen. I am sorry to learn of the passing of your other bunny. I seem to remember that she was your oldest bunny. My daughter's bunny, the one with the infection in its jaw, is miraculously still alive and doing OK. Since your ship is named Flying Coney, do you plan on adopting a bunny or two sometime in the future?

  15. Hello at first, yoy mentioned de haas en said it was a rabbit but an rabbit and a haas are two different species. Thay look simular but a haas is in 99%dark brown and has longer ears and they are nesting and Rais their baby's in the open fields. I believe that they are calt hare in English. and rabbits have their nest in holes in the ground, mostly in Forrest and dunes. Just a little explanation from my side haha. By the way, I love your channel I saw flying coney in urk when I was there with my boat last year. It's a beautiful ship, I like the shape of it. You are doing a great job. Greetings from the Netherlands
