Check out the Simrad NAC-3 autopilot for your length of yacht. We run B&G gear on our liveaboard. B&G Zeus nav plotters offer seamless integration using its mast head wind instrument data working with Simrad and Lowrance. Simrad's NAC-3 autopilot is a really great unit and works well with B&G Zeus nav plotters. B&G also sell 3 types of sailing computers which require the NAC-3. Each sailing computer head is aimed at performance sailing which can be involved setting up. This doesn't interest me so the NAC-3 on its own is perfect for sail cruising. I also Run 2 X NEP-2 expansion hubs which allow me network our 5 plotters. Sharing radar, map data and sounder, boat seed. An advantage to the NEP-2 will allow you to change your course on one plotter it automatically updates to any other plotters you may. I run a Lowrance WiFi connected to my NEP-2 it allows me to run OpenCPN (a free open source navigational software) I run on my laptop. works on a Mac or windows. Charts are required for a fee. OpenCPN will import , position AIS, sonar, boat speed, water temp best of all wind direction and strength in a historical graph. This is an awesome feature.

The dream of the divine light will come true… the beautiful mermaids, even if they are inside a sailboat,…exist. – All this said with all due respect,…a gentleman of the sea must be respectful. 20. Smart move, nav the storms don't gamble during hurricane season. You make it look easy but sailing requires a lot of work, this I know from my trips on my friends boat.
