You’re doing it wrong … everyone knows you buy a project boat in the States to get to the Caribbean… you bought a project boat in the Caribbean to get to the States
You’re going the wrong way …😂 just kidding
Safe travels and pleasant seas ❤
Nice work on that project!
The two of you did a fantastic job on the sail bag. Lauren, your sewing is top-notch. DIY at its best. 👍
I miss Grenada, or as I affectionately call it RainNada.
It sure does rain there a lot.
I was there at Le Phare Bleu marina boat sitting on Britican and was attempting to work on the teak deck and every time I got the all the tools out it started raining. Whatever you guys are doing a great job getting that cat back together.
Love from the Netherlands.
Cuz Money don't grow on Palm trees, but dream's seem too!! 😊
Just came to mind it's either the beginnings of a new song. Or or just another day in the life of dream makers using sweat equity to get there!! Beautiful!! ✌🏼💗😊⛵
Good to see I am not the only one that fixes broken things .
The reason that you have to get a motor dinging register is because you have a motor so if you roll back and forth you should not have to get it registered better nothing
It looked good. Job well done.
Nice work team!
You did a great job refurnishing that sail bag! Why waste it.. it looks great!! ✌🏼💗😊⛵
Great job! Another project crossed off the list. ☑
Yeah sail bag
Turned out good
👍🎣⛵💯
I once had to repair my safety cover for my pool(17×35)
Spread it on a table and then unrolled it on the driveway.
Used a heavy duty sewing machine.
It was hard work.
Can't imagine working on a sail in such a confined space.
Kudos for a job well done!
Pretty work!
Slap some 5200 on it and fugetaboutit. Years ago we accidentally drilled too deep a hole in the hull and started a leak. Put a gob of 5200 on it and 10 Years later it was still there..
Boat life seems very challenging at times but also rewarding. I commend you all for your hard work and being so crafty. Hopefully you guys are doing well and making great progress in SC. Blessings and light to you all!
Great job guy’s. Thanks for the episode.❤
I’m in Mt. Pleasant let me know if you need anyone to check on the boat.
😎
Good job to you both. Lauren, great sewer!
Like the gifts that keep on giving. Thanks for the shout out. Now get that SY down to the Bahamas as we are looking for more fun gifts for Rivers (whoopie cushions)
Love your work. New is not always the answer.
Hope everything goes to plan on the trip back.
Our sail bag/lazy jack bag had come apart, bought some good quality uv protected thread. Used a baby sewing machine (size of a small stove top kettle). Sewed zipper back in along with a few other sections. Could not believed it worked.
By golly, that looks Good! Rock on!
Looks great from here 😄
I would have bought 8 tubes of silicone the cheapest you can get and fill each tube. That would quadruple the strength. Even at $10 a tube its worth it for the added strength.
Another great video! Rivers is so hilarious! Can you comment on the Sailrite vs your regular machine? I’m going to be making new interior cushions for our Catalina 22 this winter and I’m debating about buying a Sailrite. I’ve done small canvas jobs with my regular machine and it’s OK if you go slow and don’t have too many layers to sew through. My main concern with cushions is the zipper area and all the extra thickness there. I have no doubt a Sailrite would be better…I’m just not sure if it’s enough to justify the cost.
You did an amazing job on that sailbag! Congratulations!
Oh if I had a dollar for overtime a sail rite sewing machine broke. Janome HD3000 Sewing Machine is what I bought my girlfriends mom. She sews for a living and she bought singer and she has 4 of the same heavy duty model and 3 are always in the shop. So I seen Janome added fancy screens to their new models and their last year model did not and was $259 at that time. She came on a visit and I gave it to her. she was like I do not know if this can keep up. So she took 8 layers of winter denim and sewed stich. she was like wow no lag. so she made curtains and such for us with a breeze. Well that was 4 years ago and no break downs. she sews heavy Carhart material all day. She has broke several needles but the machine keeps going strong. She told me thank you so much and she will never buy a singer again. I am saying I see Sailrite after a few months of use will cost you hundreds of dollars to replace their cheap ass gears. They make it look strong but in fact its cheap as heck. Buy a Janome and don't look back. in fact you can buy 3 Janome machines to 1 Sailrite. They are made to hit your wallet for parts. Janome doesn't do that.
You nailed it ! Great job, really enjoyed watching
Well that was plain as mud!
The nacelle cabin seems to make a great play room for Rivers. There are a few Privilege forum websites which may provide info on some of the issues you encounter. One of them is where I have seen discussions on replacing Privilege salon overhead windows. You may also be able to get a Priv 482 Polar there and specific info on where (bulkheads) travellift straps or other methods should be placed. Agree on saving $s on simple things so you can get items to make cruising easier/possible (inverter/watermaker) . Since you have such a tall mast, you may have increased risk of lightning strikes. Fellow Ytuber Sailing Dauntless indicated he will be installing a Telsa patented item that prevents damage from strikes and has been used by some charter boats in stormy FL. Recent Parley Revival vid showed how much damage a lightning strike can cause. I think Cooper River Marina was the right choice both for dockage and haulout for large cats.
🇨🇦🥃🤙
Amazing work dudes, we are impessed🎉, keep up the really good work, we love it!
I love DIY projects…saving money…learning new skills. Awesome video 🙂🙂
👍👍👍
Your dingy is T/T your boat, add it to your documentation and save $$. Most offshore passage makers list the dingy on the boat documentation.
Wow, that was good going at 95 dollars 👍🏼
Great job!!!
That's the face. That's the face of watching paint dry. That's sailing for ya.
You two are awesome . I enjoy watching you guys be real . love it . keeping it real is what we want to see . thank you.
