2. Just an idea, post video for different boat owner than want to sell their boat.
   They could pay you for the work.
   Advertise that and the work will come to you, you could let someone else do the video editing.
   That way that trip can more than pay for itself.

4. I am also in search of a boat, here in California. I'm a few months away from retirement (yes I am old), but we are in much the same boat. Pun intended. I am glad I found your channel. I am rooting for you. If I get a boat before you, you are invited to work…I mean stay, on it while you are boat shopping in California. Blessings young man. See you in the tropics someday.

You should really come to South Africa and have a look at that Pahi 42 in Knysna , I'm sure you will be able to get her at a very reasonable price with a bit of negotiation .. and even if you don't get her you will have an awesome experience without costing an arm and a leg, SA also comes with a lot more leeway with regards to time to sort out the boat and you should be able to make a plan for Yoshi as well without too much difficulty .. anyway best of luck on your road trip

18. I personally do not think you are really serious about buying a boat. I think you are just stringing along YT audience to get clicks. If you were serious about a boat you should have found one by now or otherwise you just cannot make a decision and that is not a good quality to have. I am now bored with these endless "going to look at a boat" vids. Wake me up when you have a boat and I might start watching again. Good grief man if you can't make a decision get someone else make it for you.

30. The advantages of a steel boat are : They are strong, easy to work with as anyone can learn to grind cut and weld steel. The material is affordable and so are the tools required. A welder and a grinder doesn’t coast much. Disadvantage……. Constant maintenance to avoid rust

32. Have a look at Scandinavia, some great deals on older boats. (They can afford new ones!)
    Please consider the very basics. If you hit a semi submerged container, how long will it take your boat to sinks? Note, a boat in the Golden Globe race recently sank very quickly, even though they have a huge number of rules to enter, they missed the basic. All offshore boats must have five sealed bulkheads or be otherwise unsinkable.
    ps, I have just bought a Woods Gypsy Catamaran, 8.5m, well within your budget. It can sleep six in comfort, two or three on a voyage. Easy to sail, easy and cheap to maintain. (Not yet sure if it a keeper for me, it is a bit big, but I need to try it out first). It is in Scotland if you want to have a look, though not for sale at present

36. Wow that’s a lot of traveling! Did you check out the link to great Scandinavian boats posted regularly ? I think you would de much better doing a 2-3 week tour of boat yards in UK, talking to yard owners about good boats, apparently forgotten and find a deal like ‘sailing melody’ did!

40. I did the same! 3 months through Europa with a old camper! Searcing for a trintella 44, nadja or hallberg….found in gologin near St. Tropez a Hunter 46! Like New! I felled in love with it! No project boat but ready to go… now in Cadiz, net month to the caribian

41. If you're wanting to find the ins and outs of getting a boat in usa and spend few months fixing up get intouch with alluring artic sailing they just done it and are now sailing up to Alaska back to Scandinavia
