  1. Ordinarily would wish you "calm seas and a a following sea," but I am going to leave you with wishes for a calm back and smooth bowels.

  2. When the wind starts to blow, and other sailing channels are putting a third reef in the main, you’re standing on the bow sprit with one hand on the fore stay and the other on a selfie stick. That’s a Viking thing to do if ever I saw one. Have you done any farming or pillaging?

  3. Hope your back gets better soon. It sucks to hurt your back, I've done it myself many times. A lot of people that sail do yoga. I used to teach yoga and I had a lot of sailors and water sports people coming to my classes. It really helps you when you do things like slip and fall. Most of the time you get back up and brush it off because your body is loose and relaxed. You don't need any equipment, so you can even do it on the boat while you're sailing around.
Look forward to your Greenland crossing, hope it happens soon…

  4. Great content as ever Erik. You're my escape from the daily rat run of life. Hope you recover and find that window to Greenland.

  5. Hey bud know about the back BS want to sneezed getting up from the toilet put me down for two weeks getting old sucks you’re the man though get it down and get there looking forward to seeing you go through the Northwest passage stay with my friend we’re all living through you so don’t die it’ll suck for you and for us ha ha ha ha ha ha

  6. You're amazingly brave! Sorry for your back, but it's just part of this extremely nice journey you've gently sharing with us! Cheers from Brazil 🇧🇷

  7. That is a familiar experience, usually holds me up for a week and slow for another. I did it about a week ago with a splitting mull 😁

  8. I've had exactly the injury to my back that you have, and I've sneezed and made it worse. It takes about a week to get limber enough to move normally.

  9. Good man. very inspiring Im sure you now that some recent discoveries in old military earth core samples from way below the ice in Greenland have revealed fossilized trees!!!

  10. Such a great joy to watch your content Eric. The authenticity and beauty in your material is what makes it so special. keep doing the good work 🙂
It has been fascinating following you these years and to see how you're always so close of getting to Greenland but then having to turn around for different reasons.
Seems like Greenland or perhaps Life, is wanting to teach you something, before it will allow you to complete this epic mission.
Perhaps it it something in your life that must change, like taking care of your body and mind while finding a new purpose and approach to this endeavor.

Perhaps would be good for you to do something completely different for a few months, go on a travel somewhere warm in another very different part of the world to then come back to this mission from a new point of view and understanding.
There is no doubt in me that you are going to succeed with this and through the process you will have learned the most important lesson in your life. And we will follow and suppor you the whole way.

Jag snackar gärna mer med dig om du vill! Skickar meddelande på FB isåfall.
    Ta hand om dig Eric!!

  11. During stressful times your videos always calm me down. I can't put into words how much I love your channel. Safe sailing!

  12. Стареем. Я на брусьях мышцу потянул – месяца три восстанавливался. Comment just to comment. Thank you

  13. I've never been more excited for an episode in my life! Been following your adventures for more than a year now. Holy shit man, best of luck!

  14. Way to showcase the beauty of the North Sea, every place is more beautiful then the last. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. Just going to plug the shirt you are wearing, it’s great quality(fruit of the loom) and great price and quick delivery. Everyone needs to get one or 2! I wear mine with pride.

  15. Great, great episode. We loving seeing Isafjordur again. Good shopping at Netto and other shops for boating gear, welders, machine shops etc. I hope you went to the pool and sauna for your back. I am sure it would have relaxed the muscles. Plus the hospital is right across from where you picked up your mooring ball. Can’t wait to see the next episode. It is a cliffhanger. 😊

  16. Eric, I suffer from terrible lower back pain. I have recently found an amazing combo of meds that help significantly. Lyrica and celebrex. I take one of each at the same time. It has been a God send for me. I truly believe it would help you also. I enjoy your channel so much. Thank you for sharing your life's adventures with us. I get to live my dream through you!

  17. Oh, wow, I want to marry this man right here. My father's side of the family from Sweden, so we can make beautiful Scandinavian babies. 😆

  18. Hi Eric… thanks so much for posting.. really enjoy your videos.. Hope you don't mind my saying so.. I've had serious back problems too (sciatica and worn out vertebrae lower back) INstead of operation I tried Pilates excersize and the most simple horizonal on the floor workouts WORKED wonders. At only the cost of a local coach, i'm now doing them at home 3x per week half an hour.. and the pain is all gone.. I recognize the 'putting on the pants' problems (and socks) and almost feel your pain again. I just thought to let you know.. for me it worked SO well at so little effort I could not believe it. All about strengthening the core.. I do hope it can work for you too !!!! Best regards from South Africa !!!!

  19. Absolutely love your adventures and videos, I think they are the best around… But it's heartbreaking seeing you get injured and not being able to fulfill your goal to sail to Greenland… As always I wish you the best because you deserve it.. 🥂🍸🍻💖

  20. Erik do you sleep on those bunks? People that have back problems like myself need to be fussy about mattresses and pillows. A poor bunk with indifferent padding may be a reason for recurring back pain. Check your mattress with a doctor, perhaps that can be of help.

  21. Mi spiace davvero tanto Erik x la schiena!! Hai antinfiammatori x iniezione? Io ho risolto con Voltaren oppure Lidodepomodrol questo farmaco è forte ti rimetterà a posto. Un caro saluto Giovanni Italy

  22. Thank you for sharing your experiences and travels, but most of all thank you for your gems of positivity and determination in the face of fears and uncertainty!
