Love the show.
Great stuff again. Are you using a boom brake or preventer during the night? If the autopilot goes cracy I think boom brake is better solution.
Enjoyed the video, great vibe and music choices, subscribing for sure! Nice to see two sailors doing their thang!
Great sailing video. I’ve been following along for a while now. Great stuff! Btw, The Falklands have been a British territory for 190 years. Calling it the Malvinas is like letting France or Spain reclaim the US as their territory.
what kind of rig do you use as a gybe preventer/assist?
Hi, no idea but… I can understand a lee cloth, what I can't get is why you wouldn't use a hammock instead? Nobody appears to use them so I'm sure there is a reason.
I am not a sailor, but I noticed that the cockpit is quite a mess with all these ropes tangled on the floor. In case of an emergency one could trip over them and get hurt. Am I wrong in stating this comment?
Your sailing skills are admirable. I love to watch your channel when you are sailing hard and the boat is performing well. Don't break anything.
Fun video ya'll, big like. 🙂
Kate. Your enthusiasm and grit are unmatched. Your sense of humor is hilarious. Your smile is infectious. I bet when you were born and the doctor smacked you, you smacked him back and smiled and have never stopped smiling. Curtis is a good sport about it all. It all makes for the best sailing channel on here. Keep having fun and stay safe. Bill
I have just finished 'A Voyage for Madmen' by Peter Nichols.
A good read for anyone going through the Roaring 40s nd Screaming 50s..
Stay safe.
That is some sailing ! Ya'll are doing a great job with just the two of you.
Just found you guys. So happy to see a sailing couple that’s not scared of 15knots of wind and want to go fast! Thanks for sharing.
Going forward w/out a life line? Over confidence kills sailors.
No good having a harness if you do not clip on. Play safe.
Yo can where dose the doggo pee? Need some inspiration for a dog toilet :p
Hi, would be very interested to hear how your dog manages toilet activity. We have a new pup (small) and are wondering how to train her to do it on the boat. Thanks for any advice.
Great video! What is the bracket holding your iPad? Source?
Just found your channel – awesome! Love the video. And the music in this video … what is it (at the 3 minute point)? Please consider mentioning the music you’re adding to the videos 🙂 Fantastic! Thank you!
Wait…that's the "wrong" way round the horn! Going to stop this now and Binge watch your channel.
Question, just how does your dog take a shit on the boat?
Good job calling the whisker pole takedown. Not enough sailing couples show how they work together when actually sailing. Hope o see ya out there.. Godspeed.
Guys. The Falkland Islands were the Falkland Islands, before Argentina was a country. Amongst the many, many reasons to dismiss Argentina's claims of sovereignty, this is the simplest fact that cannot be refuted. Its not a question of 'sides'. Argentina invaded the Falklands in April 1982 because the criminal junta desperately needed something to distract the Argentinian people from economic collapse. Criminal junta, because merely one of their crimes was to dispose of opponents by throwing them out of helicopters at altitude over the sea. Is that the side you really want to be on. Its the moral equivalent of supporting Putin's war and war crimes in Ukraine.
That's amazing, thanks for sharing. 🥰
That would be as determined by the population. The Falkland Islands
Nice video. Good job. I don't get the title though…What was the "shocking truth" there?
Hi guys. Just found you. Thanks for posting 🙂 Wonder what autopilot you use ? See you have solarpanel, but did you consider windvane alternatives ?
Constantly misnaming the Falklands must be quite frustrating for any island natives watching your channel. Would you accept that level of disrespect to your place of birth?
Was on the fence with this video until you used the word gaggle! 👍
Crazy none of these people have Windvane steering. Risking your life on hydraulics and electronics.
Trying to do a sexy undress in foul weather gear. Very funny and impossible.
Round the horn East to West has piqued my interest quite the challenge . Will you head up anddo a more traditional Pacific crossing?
Fun sailing perspective, thanks
Another groovy sailing adventure with your cool family.
Question: does your "traveler" ever seem to get in the way with your movements on the boat being mounted low in the cockpit like that…
The speed of your boat got my attention. Getting into double digit speeds is very impressive. After looking at your information, it sounds like you raced sailboats in the Great Lakes. Can you talk a little about your boat? Did your experience racing help guide your boat selection? It seems like the boat is faster than most other monohull cruising sailboats. Was there a tradeoff between performance and comfort? Is there anything that you would have done differently?
Thank you for allowing me on board. Nice tunes.
