Hey, nice bike Sam, I have an Lectric too, first generation before they came out with the Lite so mine is a lot heavier. I have over 1600 trouble free miles on mine and it still runs perfectly. You'll enjoy the Lite, lot easier to get off and on your boat.

Those Mistral longboards from the mid 1980s really love a long reach at speed! (My 12 ft Bic Bamba is very similar.) Gybing and running I still find a challenge on mine, because the position is so unstable on a narrow board, and you have to weight the stern to raise the bow to let the long board turn.

Maybe you should stick two or three stainless steel threaded dowels into the shaft of your hydrofoil and bolt it from the other side and glass over that.
