Având în vedere că nu au rămas prea multe opțiuni, încep să cred că trecerea canalului ar putea fi cel mai bun pariu al meu. 1. My cat is two boats to the right of your folks in the marina yard. Come
and have a cuppa if you’re around. I’ve got lots of Wharram info that you might find interesting.

  2. Mark, love your videos and boatwork. You might try to visit some harbours more (south) east in the Netherlands. Or consider renting a mobile crane to haul you out. Shouldn't be that hard to get a fair price on that. I will ask some friends if they know good places. Ps fixing a boat takes time, endless amounts of patience and disappointment… but in the end its all worth it.. so don't forget to enjoy, every day, and be thankful for mistakes that make you a better boatsman! Greetings from the 🇳🇱 Netherlands!

  3. The Multihull Centre Boatyard at Millbrook, across the river from Plymouth could be a good option for you, if you decide to truck the Wharram over: Home build / boat project friendly, run by multihull enthusiasts for multihull enthusiasts, has soul. And, I believe, will be more realistically priced than yards on the South Coast or the Orwell.

  4. 5 grand for transporting a boat …? Which ain't somewhere up in the Austrian Alps but already down at the seaside, peacefully floating in salt water? Seriously? Well …. funny idea.
Go get a pair'a good four stroke engines for that money and bloody drive it! (Two-strokes today are like using a steam-engine roller on an Autobahn …) It might be good having a second, more powerful and reliable boat nearby for the crossing to do the radio work and help speeding things up when in the traffic separation zones, but there's nothing else to do than making that thing behave like a boat again asap I reckon. You do not plan in deck-passaging on a freighter over the bigger ponds later on either, presumably. You bought it as a boat, so why not start boating now? You survived Your first cat, too, didn't You, and that wasn't exactly a new Outremer, to put it mildly. Anyway, thanks for sharing!

  5. Your Dad is an absolute LEGEND. Would like to hear about his mini and the Jeep too. I realise they have nothing to do with your journey so you will be forgiven to leave the out. Best wishes mate

  6. never sailed, owned a boat or been at sea more then on a large cruise ship.. but having a boat and being able to sail wherever u feel like seems like a real dream.. and as a tattooartist i guess finance wouldnt be such a problem wherever one would end up… so ill follow your journey to begin with, and maybe in the future ill give it a try myself. Thank you for an epic show 😀

  7. Linguistically, this channel was easier to understand when the Asian girl was on because then it sounded like English 😉🤣

  8. Sell the motors junk the hulls. Go get a decent glass monohull. That boat is awful mate! You will bankrupt yourself long before it is seaworthy. And even if you get there it will still be inconvenient and expensive.

  9. Some of my fondest memories are of me helping my son work on his car…you're very fortunate to have such wonderful and supportive parents!

  10. Mark i said this in the group, but i will say it here as well, I personally love them old Suzuki outboards, they were pretty much bulletproof, And power to weight they are comparable to a 2023 outboard, I’m not a fan of the oil injection (it probably an irrational fear) but that can be easily disconnected and you can simply premix the fuel 50/1, All boat parts shops sell a little jug, it has litres on it, (that means the amount of fuel you put in) and the measure lines at 20/1 30/1 and 50/1 so basically what you do, say you just put 15 litres on petrol in, you get your little jug, find the 50/1 column, and it will show you exactly how much oil you need to add to stay at 50/1. Basically it takes the math away.. I believe now they are serviced, really sand down the leg and prop, and you can still purchase Suzuki grey spray paint cans, So they will look brand new, And because the props won’t be getting any love, if they are the right pitch, (because i noticed only one was a stamped sail, (you basically need torque not speed) However if the props are matched and pitched how you like them, give them a good sanding can use a sanding disc, whatever.. and paint they with a quality paint or prop speed.. I personally can’t see why them engines need replacing, I believe you will get years of trouble free running, I’ve seen comments where people are saying get rid of them? Now you do need my advice or theirs you already have the proof, them engines sat around for 10 odd years?
After a good service did they both run? Yes.. kinda proves they were a good engine?
    Anyway cheers mate!
    Oh ps
Sorry about your little dog, But respect to you, taking him away from such a good home, it would almost be selfish, because that may benefit you, but not your little friend. But you can still visit and he will remember you!
    Thanks again.. 😊

  11. Whatever you think the outcome will be you'll always get subs to watch such a reckless event. As for me I'd go look for the spirit which started it all and work hard for a better life.
