Navigație sigură. Barcă: White Shadow este un Van De Stadt „Seal” 36 (11 metri). Este realizată manual din oțel, 2004, cu o santină rotundă (cocă) și un acoperiș de vagon modificat. Acest lucru o face „unică” și, după părerea mea, cel mai frumos Van De Stadt 36 construit vreodată. Echipamentul camerei: Camera principală este un Panasonic Hc-V700 cu un microfon extern Rode cu un burete și un pisoi mort atașat. Acțiunea, scenele subacvatice și blogging-ul mic se realizează cu două camere de acțiune Osmo. Unele fotografii cu barca sunt realizate cu o cameră Dji gimbal. Editare: Final cut pro pe un Macbook. Majoritatea materialului pentru fiecare videoclip este filmat pe o perioadă de câteva săptămâni sau cam asa ceva, iar editarea fiecărui episod se face, în mod normal, pe parcursul unei zile. Acest proces poate dura mai mult dacă se folosește muzica originală sau dacă sunt necesare permisiuni pentru materialele protejate prin drepturi de autor etc. Se petrece mult timp rezolvând problemele tehnice. În acest caz, în mod normal, primesc ajutorul unei persoane mai tinere care înțelege chestii informatice! Există, de asemenea, momente în care filmarea, editarea și încărcarea nu sunt posibile din cauza faptului că sunteți pe mare sau în locații fără acces la internet. Conținut: am descoperit că filmarea și lansarea de materiale într-o perioadă de timp este mai bună decât să faci videoclipuri în stil „vlog” și să încerci să faci episoade din ceea ce s-a întâmplat într-o săptămână, indiferent dacă este un conținut bun sau nu.   16. Just gotta say, love your channel. There are a few I started watching that were solo guys such as yourself and Learning by Doing. I loved the alone and ruggedness of it. But then eventually these guys find ladies and give up their proper sailboats for catamarans as their ladies get sea sick. And it goes from being very adventurous to a floating apartment couple's vlog. So I always end up back watching you!

  25. Jackstays centre – absolutely. It can be a lifesaver. Also, don't clip onto them – pass your tether under and back to your harness/lifejacket loop; you're just as safe, and the connection is shorter so there's less chance of going over.

  26. I’ve been inspired by your video’s for the past few years but these last two are special because I have watched them from aboard my own boat. Baby steps around the UK for now but bigger adventures to come, and it’s in no small part thanks to you. I hope one day our paths cross for banter and beer.

  33. Uhmmm… All those singing to you and 'helping' you, they expect you to pay them. They are not doing this for free.

  34. I would recomend not to reef both sails the same amount, but reef from behind. Reef or take fully away the main sail and start to reef the genua part by part only when the wind blowing stronger and strongen. This method is much more comfortably and safer especially for singlehandet sailors. And it works great to avoid luffing up in stronger wind conditions.

  37. You could do with a new modern dodger on there Barry. I know it’s expensive but I recon you would be much more comfortable and sheltered.

  45. Barry, I have always enjoyed your videos. This one in particular. I felt emotional as you left as well. I sail Lake Michigan out of Racine, Wisconsin. Not as glorious as your travels but it can get pretty wacky out there. Your wisdom of putting the jack lines down the center of your boat is the smartest. As you say, you stay on the boat. I have argued with many sailors about this for years. Finally, they begin to see the light. I've been sailing for over thirty years and have two rules. #1 Stay on the boat #2 Stay away from the hard things like rocks, reefs, and other boats! It's the KISS principle – Keep It Simple Sailor! Thanks for all the videos, your wisdom, and passion – Peace, Love, and Coconuts!
