Camper & Nicholson boats are well proven, good luck with. Don’t get caught up in the romance of it, or you’ll be in for a rude awakening.
That old one from 1882 would have eaten you in a single second with the continuous work it requires as well as financially. 10 percent at least on maintenance cost per year is standard for a boat, that one wants far more.
So Rob wasn’t talking shite about this! 😂 the dream is becoming a reality now. Smash it lads I’ll be following every step of the way…very jealous 😂

Problem with really old wood boats is you can only see 5% of the rotten bits. Massive bullet dodged!
A coat of antifoul and zinks is always a plan before splashing.
Recommend bungy anchor, so you don't have to beach the dingy and tiller extender for the outboard.

Enjoy some sailing on the west coast of Scotland before going further a field. Check and replace Skin Fittings as necessary, check Steering gear check Standing Rigging, auxiliary engine is useful but don’t rely on it. Consider your options and limit your ambitions to match your abilities. Then go, enjoy and explore !
