What I don't understand with Jeff' s budget is why he wouldn't have rollers to keep the main body level as the boat keels. Would be a lot of engineering for safety and functionality. Even under minor wind, with the size of the sails, quality of life would be far higher without leaning.
My goodness, what a true waiste of energy and resources! I still work in the yachting industry and worked on parts of this boat, so I know. It is a sad thing, but part of life. In any Era of the rich and famous, so much stupid things were done by the right and famous. And for what??

There is certainly envy underlying this comment and I find the superyachts are very interesting vehicles as articles of engineering but showing off your boat to Cannes is so cliched that it shows the ultra wealthy are just boring and unoriginal. Maybe they do things we with them we aren’t privy to but I doubt it.
What's wrong with Jeff Bezos' new sailing yacht is that there are so many problems in the world that need fixing, and a man with his wealth could help a lot of people instead of spending his wealth on extravagant luxuries.
