10. Very fascinating video. What an incredibly hard, brutal uncomfortable life these men at sea suffered. So many of them died during the course of their voyages. Even when it came their turn to sleep in their hammocks they were bitten by vermin, biting insects and rodents. Their food was terribly contaminated, and the water virtually undrinkable so they had to drink beer to avoid dieing of thirst.
