GOLDEN GLOBE RACE: not sure if it has been commented on before, but I read in Good Old Boat magazine that Kirsten Nauschafer of South Africa won the recent 22-23 Golden Globe solo around-the-world race aboard her CAPE GEORGE 36… The race is a competition between only full-keel sailboats. Beyond the credit that must go to this expert skipper, surely much credit must also go to the Cape George 36 design. A good choice for Magic Carpet II..
