Southport Food and Drink Festival was over the first weekend in June this year. Free entry……..and there's a Wetherspoons five minute walk away! Helen's smile should be available on the NHS.

We didn't get to see your night at the Winking Pussy? You should've gone to the Blues Bar , it's a bit small , but they always have live music on and guest ales. Then again you're spoilt for choice as far as bars and restaurants are concerned in Harrogate.I've booked tickets to go back for some nostalgia and to see me Dad, in early September.
I agree it's ridiculous, but I have not seen many big festivals like the one you went to, that you don't have to actually pay for, in order to enter. Everything costs something now, especially if you want something different to do, then the normal run of the mill things you usually do.
Try a Van Festival. More pricey but a great entertainment.

Totally agree about the entrance fee disgusting but they are missing a trick by charging people because more would attend and spend more if it was free. Love the idea of recognising local street bands great idea for extra content
