Will not the stove be off when you center the stove when the boat is on a slope. So when the boat is in the water it will not be level anymore?!

The bow locker looks great with the purple heart wood and slats.
I recommend you renew the tape for the waterline every few days. Especially when it has rained on it. Otherwise it's a nightmare to pull it off. And yes, I am speaking out of experience. But great episode, like always! 👍

Hey Ben are you going to add in a swinging monkey bar above your head as you go down the main stair into the accomodation? This would make it easier to hold on your way down. Grabbing above your head maybe easier than reaching down for a rail.
Mate, have you checked that stove gimbal with a large pot of water off centre on the stove top elements, did it throw the level off much ?
I can see how the gimble arrangement will work when any weight is placed centrally but given the hot plates are not in the centre how will you be able to put a heavy saucepan on the front hot plate without it tipping off the edge?

The Bow storage looks fantastic.
I would seriously consider adding a diesel powered generator to avoid complications with fuels on board.
Great stuff Ben and MP. However you should consider that the stove and cooktop weigh a decent amount and if you are in heavy seas and the boat is getting pounded by waves, I don't think that your wooden box and two slim pivot points will hold very long. I think you should re-think the arrangement and make it all of steel and with a much bigger pivot point capable of taking the pounding that you might encounter in open water. 2 cents. Abraco.
Love the way you are recycling the old good timber, and one thing I have noticed, you both have gained a lot of good skills, and I guess you both could just about get full time jobs in the yard once the boat is finished, but you will have to get signed off from your tutors ( The fantastic Boat yard staff )
Hi Ben, I have built a similar gimballing box as you, about a year ago. considering the weight at the bottom, I added a shelf to store cans of foods, the shelf holds about 36 to 40 450g cans of food. I have a removable induction cooktop and an inverter microwave. The gas cooker can be fitted ontop of the box if needed. 240V power to behind and the gas line has been cleaned up and inspected. Works a treat. Off the shelf items is the go as they can be upgraded easily. 90 secs to boil water on the cooktop. 3mins + 30secs to cook 30 cookies. Great idea, best of luck.

Hello. Ben, by doing your job, you are making my dreams come true with MP. It's nice watching you. However, you need to work on your technical approach. The wires should not be loose, it is dangerous to run them through wooden battens and leave them loose. You should use a minimum 20mm roller for your cooker. Remember that this will rock constantly and these tiny rods will need to hold the appliances and everything on and in them. Bushing well filled with phosphor bronze bushing, self-lubricating "bearing" and will not wear out too quickly.
The good news about all the rain, is testing the roof for leaks.
Shouldn't you put the cooking pots on the induction plates when finding center of gravity .

Been watching you guys for quite a while and think you're doing a great job really like the idea of electric galley one thing that would worry me is the forward hatch it just looks like it wouldn't take a big wave coming over the bows

talvez seja melhor usar um sistema com dois eixos para compensar tanto o balanço lateral quanto o longitudinal. sei que o Yaba é um barco grande mas é recomendável se prevenir de qualquer situação.

Natural gas bottles can last months between refills, I think it best to have a combination of both.
