  1. 9:38 Kiana Weltzien of Mara Noka, a Wharram Narai, current in Brazil after several week passage single handed passage back from I believe the Azores.

  2. Lasik surgery… SV Jibsea, both Travis and Steph had it… which is why they usually wear sunglasses.
Their latest vid… they avoided the orcas and made it to Gibraltar.

  3. The reason things break on boats are generally because boats are not built like they were. Look at a Hans Christian. Everything is brass, 316L. SS, Everything is top of the line. And they don't have these issues. Production boats do. I am not saying they are bad or anything, but they do have much lower quality. IMO

  4. Just to follow-up, since you mainly have 304 SS or lower, you are subject to 'Cloriide Stress Corrosion Cracking". .CuNi compounds are good but soft. Of course 316L is good, as good ole brass. The "wood mast" can outlive most aluminum masts and booms. Just a thought. mark

  5. Lasik eye surgery is absolutely worth it! I had PRK done in 2018 (similar procedure) and I could not be happier with the results. The procedure is very short (you wont feel a thing) and the recovery is extremely short with Lasik and a few days for PRK!

  6. You think it's bad having stuff on your boat breakdown , ? while you're moving around.. try living off of a Harley-Davidson . And travel around the country… talk about shit that breaks oh my God you'll be working on it constantly……but what a fun time…..

  7. Yes to LASIK. I have dry eyes though (prior to lasik) and it did get a tad worse but otherwise it’s a game changer. Surgery is about 10 min per eye. I would recommend not to review YouTube videos first. It the kind of thing you should do first and watch videos about it later. You’ll want to do it and then go straight to sleep for the night because eyes are very sensitive afterword and in my case my eyes were tearing up for several hours. Best to be in a dark room and just try to sleep. I did it about 6 years ago and spent $2,800 on both eyes.

  8. Hey Jade. I have the impression that you have a hyperopic glasses prescription. These are the least successful Rx for LASIK correction. Feel free to send me a picture of your Rx for more discussion.

  9. I had lasek done back in 2000. I was 1 of the 10% that would experience discomfort. Day 3 after the surgery was the worst with very itchy eyes that you absolutely cannot rub. Took a month before I could drive at night due to very bad halos around everything illuminated. On top of that, my surgeon said I would need it again in 25 years, or wear reading glasses. (Had surgery due to being near sighted). I still have 20/20 vision, but I am playing the trombone now trying to read things. Even after all that, 10/10 would recommend.

  10. Brett started it, so I gotta finish it. “2 wrongs make it right”. No, 2 wrongs don’t make it right, but three rights make a left. 🤪

  11. I live for these videos. They are literally keeping me from falling into another cycle of my chronic depression. No pressure though 😂😂

  12. I can’t add anything more than what others have said. These videos make my incredible life even incredibler (yes, I have decided that’s a word.)

Please, please, please Aiyana… stick around. The three of you together is like pancakes, butter, and maple syrup. It just wouldn’t be right without all three. ❤❤❤

  13. OK here’s the thing….. YOU almost Nearly Hit a Cargo Ship . Not Them. They are on a Set Course , You Should have taken more care , You obviously did not take due care of what ships were in the Area …. Stop making excuses, You are to Blame.

  14. I loved Brett’s expression when he looked at the gooseneck where boom connects and noticed the asymmetrical gap. And realized, yeah that’s a problem but there is sweet nothing I can do about it here, and quickly changed the subject.

  15. I assume someone has suggested already, but just in case, an alternative to your jerry rigged vang, you can use a preventer to take the place of your broken vang. Rig a line from your top main sheet block down to your toe rail (or a pad eye near the toe rail). This has the added benefit of preventing an accidental crash jibe. A preventer is doubly valuable when you are sailing dead down and wing-on-wing.

  16. Thanks so much for letting us hang out with you guys during your crossing!

Question, noticed that your salon cushions look like some kind of leather or faux leather. How are they holding up with the doggos. We have two onboard as well and are looking at reupholstering. TIA!

  17. Lasik was 100% the best thing I have ever paid for. Highly, highly recommend. It will take about 24hrs until it stops itching/hurting but keep your eyes moist and protected it will help. Do it you won’t regret it!
