1. Nice video. Good music and fun content. Congratulations on the new boat. Go slow and do what’s needed but get to know her before going all out. That’s my tip of the day.

  2. "I know where you live!!" Ha ha ha ha!!!! Natalia you are so well spoken and your narration is as professional as your editing. Great Job!! Nice boat!…..⛵⛵⛵

  3. Happy for you guys. Great boat. As a Catalina owner i know you will enjoy the boat. By the way there are more production boats crossing oceans than so call blue water boats so you will have no problem crossing with that boat.

  4. I will say, congrats on the rename of the channel! I was surprised by the different name popping up in my feed. Good thing I recognized it! Hope you guys are doing alright, fair winds and following seas, hope to see you out there somday

  5. From what I understand being a Blue water boat is a rating that’s put on a boat. All production boats have boats that are rated for ocean crossing or Blue water. So to know what this boat is you need to look it up on the internet and enter make and model to see what it is rated for. Coastal cruiser or deep water boat.
A custom boat mayor may not be built better. And Catalina holds their value really well if taken care of.
Good luck, that is a real nice boat.

  6. Seems like a nice boat. Good luck.

Couple of notes, Catalina smile really is only on pre-1988 boats when Catalina used wood in the keel stub. The wood rots causing the smile.

My vote is Dripless adapter over traditional stuffing box. My current preferred unit is the LasDrop Gen 2.

Does the boat have a type 1 or type 2 linear drive for the autopilot? The type 1 is fine for fair weather sailing but would definitely recommend the type 2 upgrade for cruising.

    Fair winds

  7. The shaft stuffing box is bugger all ,, find out your size and you buy it by the foot ,, I havent used it on boats but the same packing and principal is used on irrigation water pumps ,,

  8. ….. What!!!! ….. my impression was that you were so ingenious coming up with your channel name, something that would stand out as well as if you change boats which you surely will, your brand is not dependent on the boat name … I realize you have your reasons and you have to go with your gut, just my two bits worth …… laughing … yes in the cruising world, or what is portrayed on many channels that people are too close with their boats and then you go into the racing world and close has a totally different definition .. have seen aerial clips of 50 foot racers coming around the buoy were not only do think there will be contact with the hulls, but the masts are going to get entangled .. tense moments sitting here watching on the screen as they carry on as if it was no big deal …. I guess that is that thing that your boat is capable of withstanding a lot, the real thing is the skipper and crew knowing what their capabilities are. No you do not want to be red-lining your boats capabilities … Guess it is like your first docking ever compared to your last docking, bet it has evolved incredibly .. not trying to be a smartass/know-it-all, just putting out what I hope are thought provokers ….. think you made the right choice going sailing as opposed the the other itinerary you had laid out …. had to chuckle around your convo of the nothing over 500 …. so you now have two boats or have you sold your other ….. thx for the share .. as always .. never stop dreaming, just dream bigger .. have fun be safe, save our oceans …

  9. Good video, horrible music ! You don’t need that kind of music, just leave the ambiant sounds. You can have a musical intro for the first 30 seconds as a signature.

  10. Natalia, I appreciate how easily you talk to the camera. I'm sure it's a little weird at the time when recording, but you come across very natural. Good job.
