I can account for all but one line on the tack of the spinnaker. I use two, you have three. What's the third line for?
Congrat on almost being home. I binge watched the first couple years and then have followed you.
The best sailing channel on YouTube by far. Thank you for your very accurate portrait of life at sea, and your masterful recording and editing of same. A masterpiece!!!!!
Wow! Your photography on the island is remarkable. Love it!
What's that trail called?
Love the filming and awesome music!!!
@16:03; Hey guys! Loving this episode, but tinged with a little sadness, knowing the end of your circumnavigation is soon coming to its' conclusion…
I know I may sound like a pedant – and I may be teaching Grandma how to suck eggs, but the drone footage has highlighted a small improvement that may be made to your trim. (Yes, I know you're both very accomplished sailors and dinghy sailors) The drone footage at around the 16 minute mark highlights that you could ease the vang a little as your mainsail is quite flat for such rolly conditions. Remember that there is appreciable wind shear in these conditions and your speed will more than likely improve (Albeit incrementally…) by twisting off the head a little to improve the exhaust in the top third. I am a racer at heart, even though I wish to be doing what you've just done for the last seven years and as I get older, I appreciate cruising (Especially trans-oceanic cruising!) more and more (And racing, less and less! You know what they often say; "You can take the boy out of the race, but never the race out of the boy!")
Once again, apologies if this encouragement seems a little pedantic. As always guys, fair winds and following seas…
(I'd love to have an online chat with you both, when we all have plenty of time to digress!) Until then however,
Kindest regards,
Mike Dawes.

This was an episode for the ages! Great seamanship, and production quality, really really impressive!
@18:04; Ha ha – Bloody Lantana! Worst bloody English export since Henry Morgan! 😉🤣
Brilllllliant Florence – that was a beautiful episode – thanks for sharing ⛵️ 👍
I haven't yet been fortunate enough to sail to Flores, but as a result of this fantastic episode, it is now on my list! What a beautiful island! A small piece of trivia for you – the Jellyfish you filmed are known as Portuguese Man-O-War (Or, as us Australians know them – Bluebottles, or 'Blueys')
The nematocysts (Stinging cells, i.e. barbs), I believe, are too small and soft to puncture thick skin (Hands and feet), as I have often stomped on them on the beach when they have washed ashore, to no ill avail. I also believe the 'Sails' can be pointed somewhat in direction, to enable them to change course. I'd love to hear a marine biologists point-of-view!
Thank-you guys for another wonderful episode, for all of the superlative footage, editing and production of both your sailing (Which is unfortunately very rare on most channels…😒) and all of the panoramic landscape footage and my sincerest congratulations on such a professional production. You guys definitely deserve many, many more subscribers and therefore revenue. (Another 100K subs would hopefully convince you to cast off the lines on an "SV Florence II", for another couple of laps around this big, blue marble (That it seems is getting smaller and smaller, thanks to folks like yourselves!)) Well done on such an amazing achievement and I look forward with sincere sadness to your final episode… 🥺
Yours sincerely,
Mr Michel Dawes
Hi Matt and Amy, its good to see you again, I am glad you are now out of the gale winds zone without problems, you guys made it, congrats. I sent to you a link included in my comment on your last video, with the latest weather forecast for the area of the Azores, including three different hurricanes paths that were hanging around your actual location back then. I hope it had been useful to you, as always stunning views caught by your drone camera up in the the Azores Islands. I wish you the best for the next leg of sailing on your way back home to England, bear hugs!
So refreshing to see you both nearing the end of your "REAL" world sailing journey, Matt and the stunningly beautiful Amy congratulations on your travels so far, enjoy this lovely place and safe travel to your destination "HOME", All the best, Al
that island looks idyllic
The blue canvas on Florence is the same color as my first car, a 1967 Mustang convertible. The color was called Acapulco Blue! I am remiss that I didn't think about telling you this when you were in the Bahamas and closer to Acapulco. :¬) Webbed USA

The Azores were once the mountains tops of the island of Atlantis.
Another great video, congratulations for reaching home safely, sorry we couldn’t watch you arrive 🎉
I will really miss your amazing videos and commentary as you sailed across the oceans. I wish you both well in whatever you choose to do after returning to the UK!! Happy sailing!!
