    My father never allowed bacon aboard on his monohull doing an ocean passage. I do, but only the two-legged friends that carry guns and enforce the law.

This is excatly how my brain understands stuff.     You run solar but why not wind turbine to generate electricity. I ask because most time it even generates at night with mild wind if your doing long night crossing
