13. Jordan, I have traveled and lived in a dozens and dozen countries around the world, mostly in the military. I have NEVER had a bad reaction to my being an American, actually mostly the opposite. As any American, we are a very visible people, easily identifiable. As you well know, there are disagreeable people out there, but even most disagreeable people understand that you are a person, not the country. I flew Old Glory from my apartment door in Europe and Asia, my car license plate, my sail boat, my motorcycle, my uniform, and 24/7 in my front yard with a light on it. If you treat everyone with a smile you will mostly get a smile in return. It is also amazing how many "foreigners" actually have family in Kansas or California.

27. When my children were exploring new foods, my wife and I had a small food grinder. We used it to mush up the food we were eating and allow our kids to taste and eat the food we were eating. 30. Of course there are many stereotypes around American tourists, particularly in Europe and those obviously don't come from nowhere. But we have also have stereotypes about Germans, the French and English tourists. I think that out here it's nothing to take too seriously, especially when I see the way you guys treat the countries and the people you visit with genuine interest and respect, from Central America and the Carribbean through the Med I wouldn't worry too much 🙂
