  1. It's common sense. If you jump into water from a height to tall or into water to shallow, you will be significantly injured or killed. It could be a cliff, a bridge, a boat, or even the side of a pool into shallow water. Jumping from any height into water that is to shallow for the landing is dangerous. Check the depth and submerged objects and jump from a safe height. Sometimes common sense seems to be uncommon.

  2. Keep up the great work! I know your channel is for superyachts but please report more commercial shipping accidents. These happen everyday around the world and the evening news never reports these incidents, Well except for when a containership blocks the Suez Canal. And you are 100% correct to tell people that tombstoning is dangerous.

  3. Dropping off not jumping up and off from 17 meters or ~55 ft leads to an entry velocity of over 65 kph and the water is starting to get very "hard" at that speed. Tower divers have bubblers to "soften" the impact from ~12 meters with speeds of almost 56 kph. I have jumped into bubblers from 12 meters and it is not a violent impact. I have jumped from a 6 meter tower without the bubbler hitting at 39 kph and you feel the impact. Impact force is proportional to the square of the speed so 6 to 12 meters, the hit is double the energy. From 17 meters it is almost triple, with a 1 meter jump up and off for a backflip, it is triple. With a "bad" landing that water it is like getting hit by a bus going near 70 kph. It is why many people falling off cruise ships die. Do what you will but you might want to pay attention in highschool physics, Darwin and the gene pool will be happy either way. As to jumping off the back of a moving boat, that is known as a "Panama" from the movie Sahara. It is a BLAST from boats, seadoos etc. even when you are retired like I am! View the movie (45 min in) for the correct high speed protocol. If you like the boat, have someone stay in it or use a lanyard and leave out the cigar and bullet parts, lol. To all the whiners, do what you like, don't mind the gap, play in traffic, go train surfing. Just don't take anyone else with you, it is your life, we all live 'till we don't. The choices are sickness, accident, suicide, murder, stupidity, religion, war and MAID (where permitted by law). From personal experience (yes, I see thestrals) MAID will be my choicen as it is on my terms, followed by stupidity, at least there you have someone holding your beer right after you said "watch this". Injury and death make great fodder for the education, profit and entertainment of many. I jumped off moored yachts, cliffs, bridges, trees, swing ropes towers and numerous fast moving boats into water, no injury but 6 meters or less. I have been injured playing combat bridge (thanks Kieth), ya, the card game, not dead yet, beat that.

  4. Jumping 17m into water is inherently dangerous. The speed you're going the water can't get out of the way quickly enough so it's a much harder landing, like landing on soil. One guy in a base jumping accident crushed his spine, but it was the water that rushed up his rectum that really concerned doctors. It ruptured his lower intestine and would kill him without them going in to fix the damaged sections.

As for jumping off the back into the wake of a large boat, you don't have the same buoyancy as you would have in still water. The air mixed in with the water removes that. You might find difficulty returning to the surface because you simply don't float like you would!

  5. So, around this time next year and it goes through the straighs…get someone to track them in real time…duh.

  6. Love your videos, I watch every one. Big fan. I’m not sure what the obsession is with Nord but do as you please. I’ll continue to watch 🙂

  7. Stupidity has always had a tendency to remove the stupid from the gene pool. Even when we try to save them from themselves, some insist on continuing to take stupid risks. I’m not advocating for unfortunate consequences, quite the contrary. Just an observation.

  8. I am surprised that these russian sanctioned boats have not been attacked and sunk given the amount of hate toward these wealthy individuals.

  9. If the AIS does not have GPS option that is not mandatory, she will "disappear" once the VHF radius is beyond the VTS range. Only device the vessel is able to be tracked is thru LRIT.
