Of the south coast of Australia Sydney to Hobart Tasmania on boxing day they race the seas are rough real rough alot get damaged some get rescued but I imagine on the west coast of New Zealand might be just as bad .Pray to God for smooth seas.
You Guys amaze me ,well done fellas proud of you both
If new Zealand is that picky about cleaning then I will pass.
People should be free to go anywhere!!
Well done guys. Fabulous journey. And with cheese resupply too! 😂👍👍
Cheers for the hull cleaning procedures for NZ not often explained so clearly . EASYHOME brand Stainless steel pegs from ALDI supermarkets when they are in shop , 24 in a pack ? Thanks again for all the videos .
Cheese. I like the white chedder. Soon you will be in NZ…cheese heaven!. Take us on a cheese crawl in NZ.
Delicious!!
In the Navy, boot camp, we used to tie our washing on the line with short lengths of line, (8 inches or a foot long maybe?) I would think old shoe laces would work.
Phillipines just had a few big Earthquakes.
My man, facing the dangers of ocean and strange land to gain a block of cheese. You guys are special
When I was on Minerva we had 5 metre waves. No going inside. But we did fish in downwind of it. Too many fish
Hi do you come to Taurqnga when in New Zealand?
Hey lads you should try cheese and Vegemite on toast or in a sandwich delicious
Bravo
Cheese Wallace…
Great video.
Safe trip down to NZ.
Good luck boys !!
You both look bright and healthy. You made the right choice to go on this adventure.
What a nice episode and I had to see it 3 times 😅🌏⛵️💨Greetings from cold Norway🥶🇳🇴😁
Two cliffhangers in one episode? Cheese and clothes pegs, you guys are spoiling us! 😂
I learned a new meaning for "clothes pins"….pegs. Congratulations shipmates on another successful leg of your journey. Thanks for the additional info on NZ requirements for boat hulls. Let us know if NZ or Australia force you to turn in any of your food including canned goods.
when you get to NZ don't forget to declare all food products, as KIWI immigration is very strict.
Many a yacht wrecked on Minerva Reef, you should read the book of the same name, the Tongan boxing team on their way to NZ wrecked there.
WHAT camera are you using?
Your videos look really sharp!
Congrats on visiting Minera…always wanted to go there.
Heading to the land of cheese! I couldn't see 1kg Cheddar lasting you two more than one night!! Great video and keep up the fantastic and amazing journey. Fair winds ⛵🧀
Fabulous video guys 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Looks like fun
Biodegradable sailing pegs, now there's a business idea!
Ref the peg shortage. Feed a line through your clothes, arm holes, leg holes, then tie the line up at both ends. Simples
Woohoo! Far be it for me to offer advice but with Luke going Doolallylally over pegs, I thought i may. If you wrap the top lifeline with twine then you tuck your clothes into the wrap. Just my 2_bobs worth. 🙂
It’s like being aboard with you guys, filming is so good, love it.
Great stuff. Shame you didn't have bicycles. You have to ride on the reef to join the Minerva Reef Cycling Club. The book is worth a read.
Good to meet you guys briefly in Marsden Cover the other day, hope the battery upgrade works well. I am with you, Adam, I cannot stand slapping halyards and any other repetitive noise. One on my boat was actually a ball bearing in a cupboard going tick-tock tick-tock as the boat rocked. And I had Minerva Reef to myself in August on my way from Fiji to Tonga, but it was new moon and the swell coming over the reef was too much, it was cold and raining, plus my outboard would not start, so getting up on the reef was impossible, sadly. Anyway, I got my transmission out and it is being repaired, will be back in April from kitesurfing in Cape Town to head north again. Enjoy NZ!
Great work leaving Tonga. Can’t believe you nearly missed getting the extra 1kg of Cheddar cheese. Life would be so miserable without it. Safe travels and fair winds to NZ boys.
Your nearly at the land of milk and cheese. No need to milk the dolphins for a while.Maybe if you get marooned at Two Rocks.
Feed rope thru your undies and T-shirts and tie this to the lifelines instead of using pegs. Works almost as well.
I was just thinking how pristine Atlas looked and then you explained about the NZ biosecurity rules and how you had cleaned the hull . Well done guys x
Making a special trip into town for a block of cheese was too funny but this fellow cheese lover gets it. Cheese is a necessity. 😁 How incredible is that reef!
It’s amazing how far you’ve come and all the things you’ve seen so far . Can’t wait for New Zealand. Will you do a live from there x
Lads, red your laundry and lack of pegs, if you run a thin line over your handrail and wind it on, you can trap your washing between the rain and the line 👍 Hope this helps
Guys, I love your videos.👍👍
What both of you have achieved (2 lads from Whales)is second to none. Not many people have ever or will ever do this amazing journey. You’re sailing skills are outstanding and just to let you both know , I am in awe of you’re perseverance and ability 👍👍👍
Guys I am blown. I have watched both of you from the beginning and I wish so much , I had an ounce of what you have. RESPECT👍👍🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪
No matter how disgusting the meal looks I love the ‘DELICIOUS’ comment from Luke once consumed. Always puts a smile on my face. On another note I have a Neptune but never considered the grease I would worry about sand sticking to it.
