1. Glad you folks are on the mend. This video is very timely as my wife and I are just testing negative from covid after 15 days of positive results but still have symptoms. We managed to avoid Covid for almost 4 years now, even have all our shots but it caught us now. Covid really sucks, take care.

  2. We're glad to hear you guys are feeling better 🙂 Ava and I got covid in Ireland too – must be something in the water 😉 Fair winds

  3. I was positive for 14 days but had to keep working as a pilot as we were in a remote part of the world. 6 weeks later, I still have a dry cough and low energy. It is a terrible virus. Sorry you had to go through it.

  4. About 10 months ago I'm pretty sure I got covid, it felt like a really bad cold, like a different kind of cold. The worst was the first 3 days, headache, nasal stuff up and weak, after day 7 was back to near 100% Like you, I dodged covid for a few years, at least we didn't get the original Delta strain

  5. OMG so sorry you two caught covid. I cannot imagine going through that. My daughter caught it and lost sense of smell. She is ok of course; however my ex-wife and her husband caught it around 2 years ago and he passed away from it. It is a horrible thing to go through.God Bless you and keep you safe. I have been lucky not to get it and I don't think I would make it because of underlying health issues.

  6. I’m wondering which data set a cruising couple will land in – American, British Isles, Scottish, Irish … Global Itinerants, maybe – is there such a list?

Per the W.H.O., as of a couple of days ago Americans have sustained 103,436,829 confirmed cases with 1,144,877 fatalities. One thing I’m not seeing is a long COVID count, & long COVID is a thing – a non-trivial thing.

In a population of 330M or so, a grand total of 711,813,790 vaccine doses have been administered. Is it just me, or do others see a problem with those numbers?

If that total of vaccines in arms happened to be closer to 330,000,000 + another billion, & if other countries were vaccinating at similar rates, where would we be with this?

    Feel Better

  7. Thank you for sharing this. If I haven't put it in another comment, I really appreciate the dates on the videos. They add a lot to the overall story that you're telling. Stay well.

  8. With the current COVID variants, more than 70% of those infected stay asymptomatic. For many folks who catch COVID it can be two, or more, months before their energy fully recovers, so be careful not to overdo it! All the best!

  9. I follow the Dr. Zelenko protocol every time I get it and usually feel great in 2-3 days. It's vitamin C, D3, Zinc, and Quercetin. Dosage dependent on symptomatic or non-symptomatic … as well as age. If you google it, you should find his website with links to PDF files listing exact dosages based on age and symptoms/exposure level. You may have to order the quercetin as it can be hard to find on store shelves. I swear by it. Keep the boat warm and avoid temp fluctuations while symptomatic. The doc that came up with it has since passed from a battle with Cancer, but he leaves behind a great natural protocol that works wonders for me. Best wishes.

  10. Dude, don't just wear a mask – wear an N95! There's not enough people wearing masks for it to work, otherwise.

When that titlecard said "17 days" I had to go back and check. I let out an "aw, buddy!" just so empathetic for you two. I had covid bad like that back in March and I've had some long symptoms, too. Watch out for over-exertion, because I've been bed-ridden for days after just 1 or 2 long days. I lost part of my beard and it's just starting to come back now. I hope you both get away without any long-term symptoms!

  11. So lucky you got it once you got to your destination imagine having it and having to still sail .
Glad you survived the dreaded covid very much like a sever flu 😷.

  12. Hey guys, it's Christina. We all had COVID in our family, I had it twice (both strains) and we had the vaccine (which also almost killed me.) So glad you guys are ok and can't wait for the videos to start from Morocco. 🎅🌲😀

  13. Good to hear you got over it unlike Patrick. I have had it twice. First time it knocked me flat similar to you and I was abed for a week. Don’t know about you but I now have a wheeze in full expiration which wasn’t there before getting Covid…. I went through the Pandemic in Vietnam and it killed a lot of people there including some people I knew personally. It was no joke for me even after 3 vaccinations.

  14. Hi paragon .A question about the hydro-vane .Do you recommend it? Is it fantastic ? Or just useful if the autopilot conks out? If you guys have the time, id love to hear your thoughts on it.

  15. Amazing to listen the comments, pretty sure that having the clot shot IS the origin for Covid-19 symptoms, Moses 1:6. If you are stupid you must suffer?! Good luck people!

  16. Remember, the mask does not protect *you*, it protects others, so Drake should wear one when going ashore to prevent infecting others should he be asymptomatic, and yet still be carrying the virus.

  17. Cold air reduces the number of immune mediators in your nose, when I’m out in the cold air I try to breathe through my mouth, preserving my nose defenses,

  18. Later I went to a thanksgiving dinner and got it, that was delta, I literally almost died from that thing , had every symptom, sats of 82%, lost 35 lbs, hallucinations, nausea from hell, and then coughing for a straight month without stopping, refused EMS twice, etc. there’s a big variability in how this effects people, and I would say don’t forget eye protection in addition to the N95,

  19. Oops I just saw the rest of the video, frankly I knew you were going to catch it, and I’m very happy you came out ok, unfortunately it seems like a horrible rite of passage for living in today’s world

  20. Several news outlets published an article over 18 months ago about COVID. Try searching with the phrase: Most COVID transmission is still asymptomatic.
