O putem salva… Mulțumesc pentru vizionare. Have you been able to save the outboard by flushing it all with fresh water?
Love you guys, so good to see a boat heading back to Oz from Indo. Would love to know more about budget. We are a similar age, and boat (size etc) and would love to know more about what a realistic budget for sailing is around Oz and indo..
As soon as I saw the title, I knew it was Peanut. I'm oh so sorry that happened, but I'm not surprised. Towed dinghies sooner or later become a problem. Hopefully you were able to save the Honda. Happy New Year!!
Great Job on the Helm Wendy, and Magnus sure has a Lot of energy. Great Team and Couple. Thank You for all the Good Episodes. ⛵
Wow guy's poor peanut, that would of been scary moment for you both especially in the middle of sea in big seas! Thanks for another wonderful episode guy's safe travels and all the best for 2024! Cheers 🍻.
Just shows how fast things can go south. Great recovery with lots of help from Wendy. Very tiring, mentally draining.
Hope you both had a great Christmas, safe sailing guys.
Wow!!!
That was a real nail biter!!
Glad you guys are ok after almost losing Peanut, what a team !!
Wendy, you kept a cool head keeping the boat in place while Magnus sorted out Peanut, Well Done!!
Please stay safe on your way to the Kimberly!!
Love your teamwork, you’re awesome!!!
Great job Wendy and Magnus on saving peanut. Must of been terrifying in those big seas. Happy new year.
Lesson learned there, don't leave the outboard on a towed dingy.
What was your reasoning for not loading the dingy onto the yacht for the open sea crossing? The outcome could have been LOT worse than what it was, a lesson in stupidity hopefully learned. Love your videos ❤❤❤
Safe passage, calm seas.
That’s Seamanship, good show. Bet you stitch up a spray cover for Peanut before the next passage.
You have my dream boat, only problem with them is that the stern would make davits large enough to lift a solid, and presumably heavy dingy like peanut out of danger, impossible.
Have you considered a full tarpaulin cover for her?
Happy Christmas happy new year stay safe
East or west, home is best. Magnus looked so happy when he said ypu were heading back to Australia; your beloved Kimberleys! Happy New Year to you both from Plymouth, England
Wow lucky you didnt lose peanut and the honda motor. Always thought it was risky towing peanut. Did it get swamped in the wind against tide rough water?
What a team, glad you’re both safe!
Mmm, I often wondered about towing that dinghy across open ocean and thought you were brave. We seem to always get into trouble towing ours even in the bay!
Weird; My thought was the Indonesians had knocked the outboard! Hope you got some diesel into the cylinders then will be ok.
Well done guys. All the best for 2024 xx
why the fxxx woudn`t you at the very least take the outboard off the dingy ????????
I wonder how the rope on the dinghy can stand for such a long journey? There must be a lot of wear and tear on the fixing point on both ends? How is it done, so it won't snap. You seem not to worry sailing along just looking forward, presuming the dinghy is behind you all the way? 🙂
For such a long stretch I would have taken the dinghy on deck!
Fine video – as always!
Love from Denmark
No pun intendet. I wrote my prvious comment before seeing the whole video 🙂
Love from Denmark
Glad you saved that outboard, dam nice motor not to lose, look have a great 2024 and hopefully we may all meet up again in the UK . lots of love to you both. Clive & Dawne
I've always thought towing a dingy when offshore is an accident waiting to happen. With PeaNut being more like a small ship knocking down your speed and acting like a sea anchor not a good idea. To me it has always been an accident waiting to happen. Glad you saved her and the Honda. If you are quick and can get the motor rinsed out with fresh water she will probably survive. Hope that works out. Being a lot behind in the video times you will already know. Good luck.
Great Team you are and always will be Sarah xxx
When you do share drama it is drama great team building exercise through 👍👍
Your not the first or the last to nearly lose a dingy at sea my parents lost theirs towing it back from Falmouth to the Yealm…
Wow! That is scary. Lucky save. I’m in the process of adding a 200 lpm (KPM Marine) bilge pump to my boat, and fitting in such a way that I can pull it out quickly to assist other boats if ever necessary. It is the one thing that scares me about living on a boat. In my first (incomplete) boat I dropped something heavy down the fwd hatch and it squarely hit a plastic valve which just pinged right off and I had my very own vertical falls inside the boat. This was in Blackwattle Bay in Sydney. I had a neighboring Greek style double ender timber boat that was relying on a bilge pump to keep it afloat. I still remember the beautiful Summer morning when i looked out to see just the coach roof of _______ (something like Okeanos) visible above water. Scary. Starting to get a list of must haves for dinghies. From Another Adventure a tricolor stern light. From Nutshell a bilge alarm. From Nutshell enough floatation so that it won’t sink. From Nutshell an outboard tether line. From our dinghy as kids in Port Moresby painted a bright colour so that it is easy to spot tied behind a Lakatoi or if in the Caribbean behind someone else’s boat (Dad painted ours Pink). There are a lot of considerations with dinghies.
at the start, when you were mixing that mix, was your hand actually going the opposite way?
Heart in mouth!
