The end of a circumnavigation (in my case 40,000 miles, three years, singlehanded, high latitude, eastabout starting in Texas) is bitter sweet – there is the sense of accomplishment and the relief of having made it, but also not wanting it to end. The high latitudes (Iceland, British Columbia, etc) are great because not many cruisers sail there, and of course, there is the challenge of the southern ocean and cape horn.
