  1. Good work on the ribs and strengthening them up. I'm sure it will be a relief to get those tanks put in and buttoned up. Looks good to see some panels up, and primer going on them🛠👍

  2. I subscribe to a lot of channels, and I'm not sure what it is about yours, but I never miss an episode all the way through. I wouldn't call it boring. There's something particularly fascinating about watching somewhat inexperienced people figure out how to renovate an old, rotten, live-aboard boat on a minimalist budget. It's very informative about what kinds of technical problems a person might encounter on old boats and how to fix them by yourself. The good attitude and persistence is also very inspiring.

  3. when creating joints and seams between stuff everywhere as you go along, keep in mind that you might end up in squeekn' creek hell once you get out on the blue. just sayin

  4. You’re doing a great job and I think getting the interior and engine in will really push you forward to be able to splash this summer. I think one month might be a bit ambitious to move back aboard but looking forward to see how you progress.

  5. Marina, you and Stu don't need to apologize for your workmanship, I think it is great. I love the approach you both take to the job to be done and the way it turns out. You don't take yourselves too seriously and that is why I love watching your channel the most of the DIY's out there. Keep strong and good luck for launch this year.

  6. Not boring! Love to see you progress and make courageous choices! I bet when you look back in a few years, these moments will appear to be the ones you appreciate the most. By the way, I still do not like the shabby chique wall finish, but hey, it's your boat and it's jst one detail.

  7. Working with fiberglass is tricky at first but once you get the hang of it the results are practical and rewarding. You guys develop new skills on a regular basis not boring to me. Proper sanding and prep is critical to the structural integrity. Seems like you have turned the corner and are finally beginning to reassemble Seabird. Can’t be easy living and working together on the job for so long but your goal is coming into focus. Thanks for posting the videos.

  8. Love the trick with the microballon mix and then use a brush even the surface. Hang in there, you're doing a great job!!! Keeps my spirit up while refitting an albin ballad 30. Thank you for sharing!

  9. Looks like you guys are making good progress !personally i would watch longer videos from your channel ,im not a fan of the whitewash but hard to tell on video ,nevertheless keep up the hard work guys the oceans are calling, much love happy new year!!

  10. Keep it up Stu and Marina. I think you strike a great balance between perfectionism and bodging. There are other refitting channels where these other methods rule and they're either boring or risky. At the moment most of the channels are refitting (or building a menagerie in South America) I'm looking forward to some actual sailing but Wind Hippy does a lot of that.

  11. Wow, such hard work! You make stready progress. I know what it is to work on a boat in wintertime. But that was not fulltime like you guys do.
Marina, just take it one day at a time and one day this boat will be ready for sailing for sure!
    Love watching your video’s.

  12. Good job guys! I love seeing the whole process!!! even if its not a sexy as the rest it definitely showcases the work and effort required to get a boat retrofit and rebuild done!

  13. If there is a local wood turner ask them to make a new chisel handle. If they are like the wood turns I know they will see it as a challenge and do it for nothing.

Every time that Stu says "that'll do" I think back to our daughter's first senior school class tutor who said "that'll do, won't do" every 5 minutes.😁

  14. The new wall Is just great. Remember, you are the ones who will live there. I would be happy with it in my boat…. my wife wants to paint all the walls whitish anyway. Epoxy "snot" is the "wood butchers" dream. It makes all my joints perfect 😉 Paint covers what varnish will not. Your method for repairing the water damage makes the best use your time and resources.

  15. I know we only see the good scenes, but kudos to you guys for making such a unique – positive – tenacious team, seriously, there is nothing easy with what you guys are accomplishing, very impressive guys, love the show.
