They should have done it quietly and privately. I would hold a lot more respect for them if they did! The video of M holding that cake KNOWING that it would be plastered all over. Can see it in her face! That “pretend compassion” look she gives all the time. Sorry, but I think she exploited that family and their very REAL pain and suffering for her own gain. She wanted the accolades and attention. A pathetic “look at how much we care” photo opp. 🙄

6. I live in Vermont, a green part of the states, and we take our trees very seriously. Anyone damaging a tree is charged “treble damages” for the mature tree, as well as the cost of replacing it, and any fines or imprisonment associated with the crime. It is abhorrent.

17. Hi River. What's your opinion on the photo of the Wales family. I feel that Catherine has been backed into a corner by all the ridiculous theories concerning her health and that the photo was put out there as a knee jerk reaction to attempt to quieten the masses. She would have been better to do nothing and wait to make her debut into the world again after Easter as was originally planned.
    Instead we have all this hysteria over some photo shopping.

Not only was it Prince Philip's wish that the title Duke of Edinburgh be bestowed on his son Edward, but I think he deserved that recognition from King Charles for being a working royal and for not causing any problems or bringing embarrassment to the monarchy in general. Plus, he had the good sense and good fortune to marry a wonderful woman who's also a working royal and to have two children who appear to take after their parents. But just because they carry on seemingly effortlessly and without seeking attention, that's all the more reason their contributions shouldn't be taken for granted. That's why I think Sophie's tribute to her husband was so special. It was clearly heart-felt and well deserved.

30. My English mother lived in Manhattan in the 70s and yes it was fabulous! She always waxed lyrical about those times. I would have loved to have been a fly on the wall.

    For what its worth, on another topic, I adore Catherine, POW and she does have an athletic body, but at the same time I have always felt that perhaps as a result of being in the public eye, she is also preoccupied with her appearance to the point that she is sort of hovering over an unhealthy weight. If you look at pictures of her at St. Andrews, she was thin and athletic too, but not quite soooo very thin. This is just my opinion, my two cents. I think the barrage of media scrutiny led her to over-focus on her weight, and I do think there is potentially some sort of food or body-mind issue there.

At the end of the day the associate press dont pull a photo if it has just maybe been lightened up they pull it because it is not a real photo taken of an event in real time but has instead been put together to give a desired impression of an event..that is wrong, the public need to know that what is being presented to them is infact a true photograph of an event..otherwise any sort of propaganda could be made look real..we certainly need guardians at the gate,to prevent this from happening..the fact that this photo is of Catherine and her children is irrelevant, the photo was presented as taken in real time when it was a fake..
