The tea drinkers always know better than the blokes doing the job.
The negative commenters are loonies
Thanks for bringing the salvage company perspective.
Im actually surprised that people are commenting about the salvage company when they were not responsible for launching the tender up onto the rocks in the first place. They got it off in safest possible manner they could. At some point, its not the boat that is the main concern. The objective becomes getting it recovered with minimal damage to the environment and the utmost saftey of the salvage crew. The boat was toast already. Yet they did an amazing job of getting it off and protecting the crew.
Everyone thinks they are a professional until they're not. And that is the problem with youtube comments.
Im no longer going to ground a ship their in protest

Really enjoy your channel and I don’t even own a boat much less a yacht. Hope you recover soon. Be well.. John L
I’ve been in the salvage industry for many many years and this is not the way to recover a boat off the rocks. This is at best a bunch of marina cowboys and not a “salvor”.
They should of played Elvis singing
Love Me Tender as it was towed off the rocks
Isn't this the same video as last week?
I think the one thing that causes irritation regarding the professionalism here is that the video shows a guy on board the tender who seemed a bit surprised by the pull and had no life vest on. Wasn't there a chance that the tender could flip over when being pulled from the rocks? Anyway… as you stated, those who were not there and have no professional experience should not judge.
Hope you feel proud of yourself if you were one of the armchair warriors who commented about the salvage whilst probably having zero knowledge of such undertakings.
Husky has nothing to defend themselves from. They were hired to salvage the wreckage from the rocks. Wreckage that will never be rebuilt. Once it’s destroyed enough it goes from a recovery to a salvage. Hard work and everyone’s happy, except YouTube commenters.
I still feel sorry for Capt Paul? One huge F UP.
Keyboard warriors have no idea how massively difficult this was, with insane weather, holes beat into the hull, and no land access. The salvors did a great job, actually recovering the hull, not just dragging to sink in deeper water. Good work guys!
That's the point, the chosen way was the best way guaranty to pollute the water with oil and fuel…
MAGA!
What? A professional marine salvage company who worked on the site for weeks knows more than internet Youtube commenters? I'm shocked.
Absolute
hungry amateurs, doing price work for a bloated insurer.
Chinook helicopter
Joking aside I'm surprised salvage companies don't have helicopter's
For recoveries like this
That tug being there for days
The crew etc can't have been cheap anyway
Internet idiots are wrong again…their 100% record continues!
The use of a chopper could have easily lifted off all the motors, fuel canister from tank pump out etc. they mentioned laying down protective mats etc. but we see none of those inflatable rollers under the hull. I would think that the hull could have been raised slightly using inflatable jacks to soften the ride out over the rocks. Yes, I’m in my armchair this morning :-), but have done a bunch of these jobs, not easy work in these conditions…
The "Loon" high tailed it out there offering no concern so I tip my hat to the salvage Co getting rid of their garbage.
I'm not certain which is actually causing more damage to the reputation of Husky Salvage and Towing… The original short video of the rescue without any explanation OR the overwhelming response by Husky Salvage and Towing to defend their reputation.
I'm not sure what's worse people comment saying stupid shit or a salvage company having a tantrum over people saying stupid shit

I'm starting to not know what to make of this channel anymore. For me, it is losing more and more of its objectivity and too many repetitions thrown together with minimal new value or content. Here and there, the flag is too often hung in the wind. And people talk according to the opinions of others instead of taking a stand themselves. I often feel that the contributions rarely go into depth and are only dealt with on the surface. A YouTube channel like this is also a free exchange of opinions and that should be respected, not only by the operator but also by the public and the community. I'm not a salvage operator myself, but I was a boater and owner for many years. And was not on site. Nevertheless, I find the salvage so questionable. It was a lot of luck that it worked out that way. A salvage operation like that would not have been permitted here in Europe. In my opinion, the salvage company's workmanship was average, although I didn't know the exact scope of the job.
There's a concept I learned in my business leadership courses that applies here. Get all the facts before you decide you're outraged. Thanks for the further facts. I wasn't outraged, but it sounds like plenty were.
Somebody local here…I fully agree with the statement of the salvage company in terms of recent weather conditions (and in particular the regular swells we've had over the last weeks) and the remote and shallow location of the boat. Job well done!
looks weird but works fine.
can they explain endangering an employee on the boat while pulling it off?
Ah… sadly there were no Boeing CH-47 Chinook tandem-rotor, heavy-lift helicopters stationed at St. Barths, which already has one of the most challenging airports to use in the Caribbean. With a maximum payload capacity of approximately 28,000 pounds (12,700 kilograms) externally, 4400 lbs for engines leaving 23,000 for the remaining boat, would have been a possibility. However, new, the craft cost $2.5M, after the accident? $200K maybe? So it wasn't financially responsible to rent a Chinook.
It's nice that they took time to explain some of the stuff they did and in some way the BTS.
How much is this boat even worth now that it’s been beat up so much by the weather?
Looking at the damage to the hull Captian Clark should feel bloody lucky injuries to crew were not worse. Is there any news on Clark? Will charges be brought? Has he lost his licence?
The last time I got anything off that badly was my drunk x-wife Just saying ¯_(ツ)_/¯ Thank you for the video. You RoCk (no pun intended)
Sikorsky…. Ffs

Not knowing the details, its just shocking to see the outboards ripped off the boat. Thanks for sharing more info.
im glad we got more details! looks like a good salvage to me
If the owner and the insurance company agreed the hull and engines were considered a complete loss/write off, then the interest would be the cheapest method to remove the boat. However, if that is not the case, they could have elevated the tender using ship inflatable roller bags and lift bags and glided the boat off the rocks (and if allowed they could have removed some of the smaller rocks encasing the sides of the tender. To say this was thier best solution with 10 experienced salvagers working over a number of days, is ridiculous IMO .
I love YouTube commenters. They always know more about everything than everyone else
Internet experts! Why don't they do the recovery themselves if they are so smart!
I may ask questions about why or how something is done, but I dont criticize the professionals!
My questions are for my enlightenment!
Yeah the owner of the nearly 100 million dollar “toy” yacht is worried about salvaging some outboards… I’ll bet a brand new tender was purchased the day after the grounding. That tender is like that owners couch quarters

I've noticed there YouTube channel has vanished
The salvage company’s explanation satisfies me. I think the couch critic cowboys should get out of their mom’s basement more often.
Well said Husky Salvage
not their boat
I wonder if "captain" paul is going to be sued for the destroyed tender ? I surely HOPE SO !!
So easy to critique from an armchair,,
Grab a coffee light another smoke, and shut up on stuff you not know
Boat is off to the shredder.
