This is all highly specific to this boat and also your ratios are way off for any real weather also you don’t necessarily need to aim at the wind that will just happen best to just maneuver away from nearby vessels and look for appropriate depth for a 5 to one ratio. He said 5 ft of water = 25 feet of chain so yeah five to one but how the hell are you anchoring a 72 foot boat in a 5 foot draft lol. with 25 feet of chain. No thanks

35. Another reason you put out more chain than the depth of water is because especially on big vessels the anchor it self is only a stinker designed to hook into the ground the weight of the chain lying on the sea bed is what actually stops the boat from moving

46. If you don't know where the wind is blowing ,better sell the yacht.

47. You can NEVER have enough anchor rode out. I like 7:1. I have never drug an anchor. Even in 60-80 knot winds sustained for an hour and a half.
