I subscribed just because I too have nothing but y sweat and my dreams.
I watched your very early videos and though you may not recognize it, You've gained a lot of knowlege and confidence. Hang in the Man and follow that dream. You have what it takes.
Thanks
The work you have done on those boats will be harder than the sailing I reckon. You go bro. Love your videos
Good luck. ⚒️🇬🇧
I said that in 2000. I thought it would take 2 years. Im still sailing and am 3/4 of a circumnavigation.
Bro if you give up, give up in summer. Don’t give up in winter when everything looks bleak.
The around the world idea is tops! It’s either that or work in a warehouse until you’re old.
Les Powles circumnavigated the world, with less experience than you. His book is Solitaire Spirit. You have the perfect boat for it!
Do it! Misery loves company 😮😂. How about if you come to Les Sables d'Olonne next September and leave when the Golden Globe Fleet leaves? Would be fun to have you there.
It doesn't get more real on yt than Bumbling Sailor. Love the honesty mate, you don't owe us anything. Take your time 🙂
Chay Blyth set out on the Sunday Times Golden Globe Race with no sailing experience.
He went on to be a record breaking sailor and a bit of a legend.
There is a point where you just have to go. Maybe with someone who is a little more experienced with you ready to step in.
I have wanted to see you do more as you are an engaging person and I love your content.
I aim to do the same and I am frustrated by having to care for my mother and the years creeping up on me.
FFS I turn my back for ten minutes and now he’s gonna sail around the world…….last time I looked you was worrying about making it to Cornwall or somewhere……now he’s on a different one! If you need a shipmate I’m in. I’m a demon on the pedalos, and I’ll pack grenades for the deviant orcas of Portugal.
Good to see you again Terry. Sorry to hear about your Nan and your other problems, but I’m looking forward to hearing how your plans develop. What a challenge you’ve set for yourself! Goarnnn!
does not sound like a stupid idea to me, awesome plan, look forward to seeing you learning and loving it
Great idea, sailing around the world. Just did a solo sail to New Zealand from Saint Martin in the Eastern Caribbean, via the Panama Canal. Sailed from Milford Haven, UK to the Caribbean, with the wife to Portugal, then a couple of mates to Las Palmas, then one mate to the Caribbean. It was an experience I’ll never forget. 73 days crossing the Pacific Ocean alone. I would have gone all the way round the world but the wife was complaining I’d be away from home too long. I hope you carry on with your plan. The Nicholson 32 should be more than capable. A water maker, a wind vane steering system and some decent means of charging batteries should be a priority for you. Some sort of sat com for weather info is a bonus. Good luck. Ed.
Whoop. Good for you. Go for it.
Yesterday is gone, tomorrow isn’t here yet. The only life there is, is right now—on the deck, in the wind, on the waves. Enjoy it fully. Don’t dwell on past or future, there lies the path to misery. Live in the now and relish every precious moment. We’ll be following your journey.
Wow. Good on you. I’ve subscribed
Fingers crossed we might be heading the same way next year.
Get a bit more sailing experience, the Ocean is a big f__king place, then do it.
