Congratulations on your new home and the fact that Selene recognizes that your videos and presentations is a GREAT Promotional platform for both parties involved. @captainmother1268 has given you the areas of all boats/ships. I picked up on the V-Berth of the berth direction from bow to stern direction ( Amidship ) and my boat had a similar position of the bed/berth, it's call "Athwartship", facing from port to starboard or vice versa. Boats are divided into eight basic sections. Amidships is the central part of the boat, running from bow to stern. Think of it as dividing the boat in half, long ways. Athwartship is the central part of the boat, running from the port to starboard side. Think of it as now dividing the boat into quarters. The right center side of the boat is the starboard beam; the left center side is the port beam. Together with port and starboard bow and port and starboard quarter, they finish dividing the boat. This comment is not intended to criticize your presentation but to "FYI" . By the way, Nathan is so correct about protecting you, just like walking down the street on the sidewalk, the Gentleman position himself to be closest to the curb and places himself as a protective barrier from mechanical vehicles ( cars, trucks, motorcycles, etc. -& Crazy individuals) to protect you from any harm.     There’s something quietly remarkable about this channel, and it sneaks up on you the same way a good sunrise does — slow, steady, and suddenly undeniable.

    Most folks watch yacht videos for the fantasy: turquoise water, stainless steel that never seems to rust, and cocktails that magically refill themselves. But what you show is the work. The planning, the wrenching, the weather that doesn’t care about your itinerary, and the thousand little decisions that keep a boat — and the people on it — moving forward.

    And I’ll admit — I know a little something about the work that goes into creating these videos. The filming, the editing, the time, the patience. None of it just happens.
    And that’s why I love this channel.

    It isn’t polished escapism. It’s competence. It’s calm in the middle of a messy world. It’s two people who seem to understand that adventure isn’t something you film — it’s something you earn.

    Keep doing what you’re doing. It’s a pleasure to watch.

  15. Ther’s a huge difference between crossing to the Bahamas and crossing the Pacific Ocean…even if you have a bigger boat. That boat will feel tiny with those huge rollers on the Pacific…

  20. I like you guys, but you are not ready to cross an ocean. I’m not saying you can’t do it. I just think it’s stupid. You have NOT experience enough offshore.

  22. They are bulwark with a cap rail. The watch berth in the pilot house is meant for your spouse or mate to sleep in on passage, so they are nearby in case of emergency.
    You could mount davits off the stern for a larger dinghy or create a removable railing around the staircase to gain back that space

    It is called shiplap. A dishwasher uses less water. Induction cooktop or just electric? Not a fan of pigs (garbage disposal), they are dangerous. I would unplug it. Who needs a medical issue on a boat, wherever it may be?

    The engine room lift ladder hold-open latch could be challenging to align in sporty seas, and I would not trust it to stay latched. Please ask Selene to revisit the hardware selection before you shove off.

    Are the bow and stern thrusters proportional? The pilot house settee could use a table for the co-pilot's computer. The flybridge layout is very thoughtful, but I would remove the stairway railings and cap the stairway for a larger tender, perhaps.

    Love the galley "what are you doing" sound effects.
