  1. Brett, being a former CMEL, how of your knowledge of aerodynamic physics helped in understanding sailing?

  2. It's wonderful to watch people make a passage who seem to be resolved to make the best out of the situation and who are patient with how long it might take. Watching your progress is enjoyable! Safe travels ❤️

  3. Enjoyed listening to your questions and answers session it gives insight to a different view of things and to ponder on … 😊❤😊❤ …

  4. All your daily videos are really great but theres one thing that i find quite worrying is that non of you wear your life vests when in the cockpit concidering that you are in the middle of a huge ocean, and really should be tethered on at all times when not below. Please get tethered for you own sakes.

  5. Always watch and like your content. Never lost your feed. I don’t understand why people try to get others banned. Like the daily update on the passage.

  6. We watch your videos quite often. I'm a crochet also. Love the pattern stitch. Can I ask what are you crocheting. Would you mind sharing the pattern?

  7. If you put a couple bay leaves in your rice and flour it will keep the weevils out. It doesn't change the flavor either. You can also put some in your pantry or storage compartment to prevent them from making a home there. Garlic also works well but would be best in the compartment not the containers as it will change the flavor. The bay leaves can be fresh or dried It works for roaches and other pesky bugs as well. I love watching your videos and have been watching from the beginning. My son and I are selling everything and buying a sailboat right now.

  8. Love the Q&A section! So glad to see the start of the bread process…so far I can do this ;). Knowing that you are going to put it in your Vitamix, I know I can do that too ;). I'm catching up..just watched this while you guys are on day 9. Whatever you do today, smile and have a blessed day! xoxo from Ohio

  9. I would suggest that you look into buying a Windvane system of autopilot, they are very reliable and inexpensive either as a primary or secondary system for your future adventures!

  10. I think it's the sound that also makes this so immersive. It's super calming and nice not having any fast cuts and music in any of this and actually just being with you all. The sound of the waves, the quiet between conversation. It makes it feel so much more real for a viewer. Just fantastic and thanks so much for the hard work going into these ❤

  11. Loving these passage-crossing vlogs! Such a great dynamic with your friend along. So relaxing to listen to the ocean sounds. Safe travels!

  12. No better ad for Starlink than your ability to upload on your crossing. One of the best safety devices – perhaps ought to be a default item for any boats making any kind of offshore passage.

  13. Talk about getting smitten by these gorgeous people.
I find myself smiling all the time. After every ep. I’m cleansed with laughter.
    What lucky dream sailing.
Brett is a real lucky man and he’s worth it.
Respect to you all lucky humans & doggies 🐶 🐕
    ✌️❤️

  14. I love you guys. You always make me smile and laugh. I'm a hydraulic mechanic with 25 years of experience. I'd recommend engine oil first, then whatever oil after that, starting with the thinnest first. DO NOT USE DIESEL! It will ruin the seals in the system. They're not meant for diesel or gas.
I laughed so hard when Bret said he uses hydraulic oil to moisturize his skin. As I said, I was a hydraulic mechanic for 25 years. I also love to dance. On several occasions, I had women tell me that I had the softest hands of any man they had ever met. They would undoubtedly ask what I used to keep my hands so soft, especially being a mechanic. I would laugh and tell them, "I use hydraulic oil!", to their shock. They always thought I was just joking but I really wasn't. Spending 7+hours soaked in hydraulic oil will make your hands soft. However it probably isn't really good for you. Lol
Well please stay safe out there. I'd like to meet you guys if you ever make it to the Texas coast.

  15. You guys are incredibly mature and knowledgeable. Very impressive. I have no sailing background (aside from sailing merit badge, Bret). But I’m really enjoying the videos! Be safe, and happy travels!!
