Interesting boat maintenance that you don't get to see often. Thanks for sharing
A happy mid-week The Sailing Kiwis episode! Thanks guys. Hope all is well. Until Saturday…. Best regards.
I feel that you have found a good mechanic repairing your sail drive. I love the way he describes what he is doing, I can tell he has done this many times and would trust his knowledge. Good luck guys.
Always wonderful watching your adventures..✨🙏✨⛵️🔩⚙️🔩

Thanks for that it was very interesting for how many parts that you need to put back together and to be careful of all the rubber seals that they are not damaged when doing it I’ll be looking forward to the next video take care cheers Barry Victoria Australia 🇦🇺
😅 great to see somebody that knows what they’re doing fixing everything! What a relief that you found somebody that knows what’s going on. By the way, my dogs missed the cats. They kept on looking. Lol
A sailboat isnt just a sailboat.
A lot of info to absorb, but he made it seem like child's play. Thanks for the editing Rachel. Good stuff. Take care. That goes for the rest of the unseen crew as well. Atb from down here.
Nothing worse than having to haul out twice in a short period. That said I really enjoyed learning off the mechanic. Pity it wasn't a Vovo as I have S130s on mine. 😅😅
Fabulous finding an Irish mechanic in Rebak Island Thailand, really enjoyed this, having a full rebuild of bearings and seals in a saildrive that we could actually see being fixed was awesome, thanks heaps. Looking forward to seeing you put it back in the boat. 🇦🇺 fyi Australia and New Zealand are hosting the Women's World Cup Soccer, first time ever, so excited and proud of our United Countries. 💖👍and Australia's first game is today against Ireland. 🤣
Glad that you found the leak when you did. Boat repairs aren't fun but it has to get done.
i am so happy to have direct shaft from the engine, older Leopards have that. Seems to be in good hands…Good luck
Thank you for the video guys!!!❤😊
wow third channel in as many weeks with same repair…would you prefer shaft drive if you could choose?
Good to see that you are getting some great value work done, especially where you are as anywhere else in NZ or Australia would cost a fortune, money well spent for greater reliability for you all, be safe and thank you for the update. How is Finn going in the rowing?
Tips on Thursdays! 🙂
🙂
Fascinated by the mechanical stuff. This guy really knows what he is doing and it is a complex process, but it is needed to keep everything safe and dry and working correctly. Keep well and safe. James.
A good technical one for you Rachel. Your job next time?😂
And now for something completly different. I actually like the maintanance videos. That guy really knows what he's doing. Kiora 🥸
Nice episode! Lots of repair footage! Sweet! 👍👍
Stay safe and keep rolling Kiwi's!! 👍👍
I know nothing about motors and mechanics, yet I found this episode strangely addictive.
Very informative and interesting. You must have learn't something about your saildrives listening and watching him reassemble them.
Mama always said if you can't same something nice, don't say anything, but that had to be the most boring video I've ever seen.
that was awsome how he explained everything he was doing job well done
Andy, if you read these comments. It's good to know you're out there. Doing it correctly. Realizing how important it is. Taking your time. Attending to each little detail. All the best my friend!
Nothing worse than hauling out twice in a short period of time, we are currently ordering and ordering parts so that when we get hauled out shortly we can hit the ground running, so many things to do on the hardstand and so little time 😊 Good explanation, look forward to seeing you guys back out on the water!

Great video!! So important to know how these things work and also so awesome you found a guy who knew what he’s doing and walked you through it all!! 🎉🎉 thanks for sharing this!! ❤
Thank you
Very interesting
I love boat work videos like this.
Gotta ask – where’s the mechanic’s home country? Aussie? Kiwi? Scottish?
