  1. That’s a lot of Pink😊
Which watermaker are you installing. I’ve had both 220VAC and 12VDC units. The 12Volt Village Marine unit is still working after 20 years. The 220 unit required a bit more maintenance but it was a 1980’s design.

You’re making the boat more comfortable every day.

    Keep having fun!
When you disconnect a battery, remove the negative wires 1st. This will prevent a short if the wrench touches something when removing the positive wires.

  2. Howdy it's the Santana 28 dude Always look forward to your videos got a good mix of sailing and the torturous labor that boats require I'm interested in your Sunday giveaway I got a boat that has only one proper sale all the other ones are used and the dimensions are completely wrong so I'm very interested in the giveaway if you can tell me how to get a chance

  3. Probably already to late but a 90deg angel bracket (like amazon item B08TMBT5L9) should work really well for you on the stove. also a thin silicone mat on the induction works wonders on keeping pot/pans on. i only have experience in easy lake settings but so long as your not in too heavy seas it should work well. i was just in Ensenada a few weeks ago

  4. Suggestion not a criticism. Example stove install is almost done but the last bit is a temporary fix. This method is not getting it off your to do list. You just swapped "install stovetop" for "finish installing stovetop" on your list. This is something I struggled with for years. I would finish jobs enough for it to work temporarily but my list didn't get any smaller and it was very self defeating. A time management class taught me to finish the job all the way the first time. Sounds so simple, but I didn't realize I was doing it. I just knew I worked my butt off but my list never got smaller. Your there, you have all the tools out, just complete it and you won't waste timing pulling it all back out and cleaning up again. You guys work too hard to wear yourself out doing things twice. Again not a criticism, this is a life skill lots of folks never learn and it just makes life harder. Set a goal, today I am going to finish all my jobs and when that list starts shrinking you will be so happy!!!! Love you guys!!!!

  5. Hi guys, really like your channel. I am worried that if you put a lithium battery in your dinghy it will fry the alternator on the dinghy outboard. There are gadgets you can install to prevent that but i havent seen one that is waterproofed enough to do the job. Small lead acid batteries are available and are probably cheaper than the dc-dc charger you need to fit the lithium one.

  6. Make sure your bilges are clean, I was on a 50ft boat that sunk partly because the bilge pumps clogged up and wouldn't work. Life rafts aren't fun

  7. Hey guys, just letting you know YouTube has been playing games with subscriptions and notifications, I have noticed I have been unsubscribed or notifications turned off on a few channels I follow not just yours. May pay to mention in a video for people to check them

  8. Dear Sailing Supernova couple.
👍👌👏 2) Oh WOW, some of these sea lions are really fat. They mainly feed on fish. Therefore please kindly allow me to suggest that you go over and ask them politely where they catch so many fish and what's the best catching technique. Maybe hire a translator first. 😁 😉
Thanks a lot for making explaining recording editing uploading and sharing.
Best regards luck and especially health to all involved life forms.

  9. I love how you both get right into projects. It really demonstrates what boating involves. The chuckling is an added bonus. What is the logo on the screen at the end of the episode ? Did you design it ? Does it have a story behind it ? Thank you

  10. Hola Yvette and Darcy: On my boat the water tank vent's overflow above the sump and bilge which have of course electric pumps and a manual pump.Ths arrangement acts as a self test of the pumps with every filling of the tanks.
Recently upon filling to overflow the pump did not activate. The problem was due to a failure of the "Water Witch" switch.
Upon inspection of the "Witch" it was evident that it suffered a catastrophic internal short that burned a small hole through the plastic case!
    I replaced the Water
Witch with a good old fashioned Rule float switch. My 2 Rule pumps(3700 and 2000 GPH) float switches are wired to high current capacity relays which energize the motors which saves the contacts of the float switches.( I advise carrying a spare float switch).
Failure of the Water Witch may have been caused by water ingress or an electronic component.
Cheerz and the best fun and good times on Supernova! Gerry

  11. Lithium batteries can't get wet. I mean the cells themselves. So if the lithium battery in your dinghy is not hermetically sealed, it will probably not last long.

  12. I ran the vent tube from my freshwater tank into the galley sink. If it goes overboard there could be some slight chance of saltwater getting into your tank. I guess it is not likely on a cat, though. Also, this is not a conventional idea. The way you are doing it is the conventional way. I just think running it to the galley sink is a good idea so I always suggest it.

  13. Love seeing all the little fixings you do, it lends to the reality of it all rather than glossing over those fiddly annoying things. I love that you guys are in Mexico and enjoying the tacos and tequila, it’s a long way to go for us Aussies but man o man is it #worthit! Keep living your dream, you rock.

  14. That cooker top still looks more than a bit unsafe. Nothing to keep the pans on the hob hence I assume you are not planning to use it underway! Needs fiddles as a minimum. Boat hobs have steel pan guards to keep the pans in place.
