1. Interesting how it seems to be ok to show this guys body all over the news just because it's mummified. You never see pictures of car accident, shooting victims or other accidental deaths, so why is this ok? The media turned this poor man into a circus side-show.

2. Ok, the boat is dismasted but sailors should take note that the vessel is still floating. Point being, fibreglass vessels can withstand practically anything if correctly constructed in the first place. Crews should stay with their vessels', unless there is unstopable water ingress, in storm conditions. The human factor is usually the weakness with sailing boats is adverse conditions.

45. This is two different stories I think. As the mummified captain was found by fishermen off the coast of Surigao del Sur province, about 50 miles off Philippines. It says he was found by two fishermen.. and the photo of the boat being salvaged is an entirely different boat!
