So totally deficient of that other bloke to park that close! 😡 What can you do, tho? Would not have helped to scream at him. Still, he should have moved, and not forced you guys to get away. That was an extra bit of salt in the wound. Made for a good episode…that’s one positive thing 😊 Looking forward to more of that awesome coast. Great for us here in the California winter to have a vicarious sail through you guys. All the best…Ciao
Should be fun cruising.. if this is scary.. i have a yacht 30m from Ken right now— it’s not happiness but it’s not stressing me out.. i have put a few fenders out just in case so I don’t have to worry to much…. 3 days or so like this and the wold hasn’t ended.
Fenders a.k.a. the silent saviors.
I often face such experiences because I am serving in the navy, there are no beautiful names like this because there is no such beautiful girl.🤭💜️
I hope that bloke apologised
Wow😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😮😳😳 indah sekali laut dan pemandangannya, dukung channel kami ya sahabat👭👭👭👭👭👭👭👭
Well that was very full on! So pleased to see you were alright in the end!
Damn… other bloke sounds like a bit of a donkey.
Loads of room and anchors too close!!!
I bet Port Phillip Bay was looking very good at this moment. Lessons learned for the future. Good onya both.
Id be distracted with Kristina walking around in a bikini as well ….

This is always my fear in busy anchorages and its amazing how often it happens. Very poor judgement by the other boat. Really glad it was only Johns had you lost, stay safe guys.
Great presentation of a challenging situation. Well done for surviving (relatively) unscathed.
Deciding whether to change a dodgy anchorage is exactly the same as deciding whether to reef down your sails in a building wind i.e. the right time is the first time it enters your mind! 😊
Totally separate question: like you guys I love my J50DS except for the water tank under the master cabin bed that can slosh around noisily at night (unless it’s flat calm or 100% full of water).
Do you guys have the same issue? Or did you fix it? I don’t think mine is baffled hence the noise but wondering if I’m alone with this problem?
That is my worst fear! I'm always so paranoid when it comes to anchoring around other boats. So glad you guys are okay and decided to move. You tell the story beautifully. Had me in suspense the whole time! Safe travels
Another groovy episode, but a little scary. Glad your all safe.
People are too social. They instinctually anchor too close because they want to be near other people. This is like how I always park my car out in the farthest part of the parking lot and yet, someone ALWAYS parks NEXT to me!
My first episode of your channel—but a bit overly dramatic for my tastes. Good adventures to you though. 👍🏼
Super frustrating!
We had very similar in the Ionian with 45knot winds where a boat upwind of us dragged, hit 3 other boats then proceed to motor towards us and got their keel stuck on our chain. 45minutes of a 50ft monohull smashing the fuck out of our 33ft wasn't fun but we didn't drag even with them attached to us. They ended up having to cut their anchor free and ended up grounded on the rocks. It was super clear the storm was coming in and they decided to go to the beach bar for drinks instead of preparing their boat like everyone else. Oh and they had no outboard so their skipper never made it back to the boat, only the first 3 crew who set off rowing once the wind had already started to pick up….
Think you did right not moving though because who knows how fast that storm was going to hit you. We went from grey skies 7knots to over 30 in 15minutes in our case then 10mins after that 45. Feel it's better to be on anchor and risk some knocks than be stuck unable to anchor and your only choice been to head into the storm to get out of the anchorage!
Relax, I realize that there are people that they dont know how to sail, but also there are sailors that they are watching your channel. What happened is very common in a sailor's life.

Lessons learnt. We all have these moments, generally unexpected and unintended. ☀️🌴
You could not call him on VHF or blow your signal-horn?
So, you learned there are IDIOTs out there…great lesson I must say.
Yeah, Kingfisher can be a bit tricky to anchor at due to the steep drop-off. The sweet spot between being too deep and too shallow is probably only 30m wide so single file is the only real option otherwise you get too close to other boats. I don't know why the guy in the black boat didn't go North of the jetty. There was nobody there plus it shelves at about 5-6 m so is actually a better spot.
That steel boat guy is an A hole! he should have up anchored. You did what you had to do. Time to enjoy Fraser now.
NO! Not just "like that". we literally watched you question lifting anchor and moving but you didn't until after shit got real.
♥️♥️🥰🥰
If you need to ask should you move, then you should. Always go with your gut, and never wait to see how it works out.
Absolutely the right call. If in doubt, Head out. Especially when you have a idiot on the steel boat that knows they are not going to move because they are steel! Repel all all pirates! Cutlasses and Bludgeons. Roll out your Canons! You guys were so calm dealing with that Clown! SO John, you have to make a sacrifice to the sea goods if you want to save your ship. Your favorite Hat is was a worthy donation to Tangaroa. Kiaora.
Hi khristina and John, lots of excitement and scary Maneuvers there. Keep looking pretty khristina. So John's a commercial pilot, good for him. Thanks much and catch you next time.
