1. Our trip in 1987 cost $800 US. We used our own lines and fences often borrowing from other yachts. We helped another boat go through and then got the train back from pacific side to Colon. In return another boat helped us go through. Yachties helping each other.

Those electric trains you saw are called Mules…as a deck boy when I was at sea the older crew would tell me to save the food scraps for the Mules as I mentioned to you a while back. 11. For the 1st time watching a YouTube channel I got emotional. I’d had a long day fixing a fault on my f………… heater (fuel pump not not kicking in) but with the fix in place I settled back on board Liv of Nyhavn for a brew & to watch you guys transiting. Brilliant lads, just brilliant.
