  1. Bonjour Patricia. Très belle vidéo. Merci pour toutes ces explications. Prends soin de toi. Caresse à Winter. Olivier.

  2. Nice to see an upload from you. What were the tugs doing @5:15? Winter full of energy.
Good luck with your Masters, imagine that's a very rough male dominated industry.

  3. Congratulations on pursuing your Master's ticket. I have no doubt that you'll graduate with top scores.
We've also been choking on smoke over on the East Coast. It has moved off for now, and hopefully for good.
I've followed your electric drivetrain development with great interest. Thanks for posting the Victron graphic and giving some real-world numbers on your usage.
A clean hull and prop are vital for efficiency when using electric propulsion. You need every bit of efficiency that you can get. You were also towing a dinghy, which adds a bit of drag.
It's good to see you sailing in the sunshine and warmth for once.

  4. …. good to see you back experimenting with your electric propulsion systems … sorta had it in my mind that you'd be through the course at this point …. we're not calling it the Smokanagan yet this year, have smelt smoke a few times but nothing like some years where you can not see the dealership two blocks away …. there are fires cause the bombers are working ….. thx for the share .. as always .. never stop dreaming, just dream bigger .. have fun be safe , save our oceans …..

  5. My grandfather was a tugboat captain for 40 years across the globe, lots of cool stories, and scary ones. If you're ever in Seattle lmk!

  6. Hi
    Do you get range anxiety.
I would be scared to get rid of my perkins .
    Well done young lady.
If you get to Ireland call into crosshaven. If my plans come together we might bump into each other in the Pacific
    Fair winds and safe passage.

  7. Fine and efficient. I miss the electric, hope to bring the option back when the money and engineering time is a priority. Installation of the small diesel did eject all gas generators.
Great on Capitans progress, I am getting started.

  8. The smoke after the fires in Canada have reached Norway, today 140 firefighters leave Portugal (here) for Canada, I think they are going to Quebec. Thank you for sharing.

  9. It's nice to see another video from you.
Congratulations on passing all the exams.
With the demographics being what they are, you will always have work.
You may be able to pick and choose the jobs you want, sooner than later.
    Good luck.

  10. Hi There; Val and I love your channel. We are live aboard here in Ladysmith. If we knew when you were here we would live to have met you and Winter. I would have loved to take photos of your solar arch and to see your electric motor. Our boat is called Shipping News and we are 42 ft. Please, what is your first name. Regards, Richard and Val.

  11. I’m sure you have answered the question but here goes. How Dow you take Winter for a walk (so to speak)? Does she just use the deck and you wash it off?

  12. How many watts of solar panels and wind turbines do you have to charge your system, how many amp hours is your battery bank and is it lithium?

  13. Just found you as I’m selling my small farm and heading back to sea. I’m intentionally looking for a cruiser that needs a new drive engine so I can replace it with electric and add a small gen set to supplement and extend my range. I’m thinking it would be much more fuel efficient. Even at 4K watts it’s sure quieter than a Perkins diesel 👏
Any thoughts on adding a gen set?

  14. If you can afford and davits are strong enough, you would benefit from large bifacial solar panels. The sunlight reflecting off water hits bottom surface of cells for another 15%+ more power. Don't know what you have for MPPT controller but for budget value if you need to add due to increased pv input, I've used Make Sky Blue on sailboat.
