8. I used to do a lot of under vehicle welding which can be poor access and looking up so I used to have a small hand held mask like you get with a welder when you buy it that I could use instead of the welding helmet.

12. Sometimes needs must, but there are consequences, I am sure you will have treated someone with Ark Eye, I have, not nice at all. Also a friend had some spatter drop in his Ear, he could hear it melting through the wax and ended up with a Perforated Ear drum. Glad you are OK, besides the Sun Burn and now have a hood.     Do not ever do that again, that was very dangerous,as I think you have acknowledged.
    The kit you should have had is a monkey mask, but if space is too tight for your head we had to use mirrors to see round the back of the pipe,back in the day when I built oil rigs.
    After the lecture my wife and I lo😅 your output and would like to do the same but think we are too old

22. As always, "pain is our friend in learning" especially with welding and NDT.

23. What blades were in that battery Makita LXT jigsaw? Looked like it was cutting 5mm plate with ease! Impressed!

This info is probably of no use to you, but still… I used to work with a coded pipe welder and when he had welds in nearly inaccessible areas where he didn't have the reach, he used to stick weld one stick on the end of another stick to get to them places where other single sticks couldn't reach.

26. If you are ever in a situation like that again then use kiddies face paint. It will block almost all of the uv. Not ideal but a solution.

27. to bad there's some jacka$$es in the comments, they clearly are not capable themselves of resurrecting something old or damaged that has value in many ways, so want it discarded. not saving old things is what created the disposable life style most live in now.
