  1. Your videos are splendid artwork, really. There are no other words that seem to fit. The visuals, the soundtrack, your relationship and adventures on your Magic Carpet rides shared on “film”. Your videos will be in the National Film Board archives some day, I believe.

  2. This video brings me back to the beautiful & warm arty work from the old Sailing Magic Carpet days. Let's wish the refit will be done well and soon.

  3. What a delightful video, perfectly capturing a little slice of the magic of sailboats and setting off on a new journey on the water. Brought back so many wonderful memories of my own adventures on sailboats. There’s nothing quite like the joy, satisfaction and peace of embarking in a good boat, large or small. Thank you so much for capturing these precious moments: first steps on board, stowing gear, the first putt-putt of the engine, that lovely sound of the hull slicing through water, the smells of a good meal cooking and the coziness of sitting down to eat in the cabin. Ah this is living life. ❤️❤️

  4. Knowing your attention to detail, I would be intrigued to know what "sea-worthiness checks" you did on getting back to MC1 after not seeing it for a year or so

  5. Seeing you both board MC1 almost made me cry… I hope you get to enjoy & recharge before you return to the refit of MC2.

  6. Was that artichoke (I may have misread my vegetable) ) and then a lobsterette / shrimp thing? Boy, you have it bad Maya, you are in love. And for good reason, yours appears to be a truly wonderous pairing!
In other words, in case my words fall short of clarity, I believe that you both, individually and communally, are very fortunate people!

  7. I agree, that passage it is so pretty and the same time stressful. Passed it in September and there was a lot of current. I believe that was the passage that goes by Bassholmen?

  8. This reminds me of the goal you are looking to achieve. I hope it will all be worthwhile for you both. You seem happy and content in this moment.

I wonder how many of us take the leap away from comfort to achieve something more under the guise of growth, creative outlet or traveling to “ new waters.”

Only to find that what they left behind was actually perfection.

  9. I think I know why we are: “Going to need a bigger BOAT! “. I am really enjoying this. The music, the music, What is it please? Atvb Gpx

  10. great little video, Maya ! it must feel nice to be back on the boat home that Alladino restored during his apprenticeship in Switzerland. I am not sure but if you stop posting it could mess up the YT algorithm ? I am rooting for your 250k marker 🩷❤️🍀🫶🏻👍🥰

  11. One of the few channels where the travel videos are as good (or even betteR) that the boat modification stuff. Awesome and soooo wellll done.

  12. Thank you for another interesting and enjoyable video. It has taken me 70 years to realise that life really is short, all things are very temporary and ones wants change, so dont get too worried about perfection and possible eventualities get going.

  13. Nice to see the area around Orust island. It's where my own boat was built in 1955. (Hallberg-Rassy P28- #9) The man who helped plank mine is still alive and was recently interviewed by a friend. As it is unlikely that I'll ever sail there your wonderful videos are especially welcome.

  14. That boat looks so pretty sitting in the shipyard. Just beautiful. The episode where you traveled North through Europe was really neat. Rivers, locks and towns.

  15. I feel like I’m back there with you. Maya the tone and ease of your voice says it all. I’m glad for you being on the boat and away from the work. I hope you’ll play the fiddle while you’re there.

  16. Awards for cinematography. Sweden is such a beautiful country (some areas are very reminiscent of Georgian Bay). Great visiting, through your videos.

  17. Hi, I watched previously but did not comment, something I wish to rectify. But first your "stop motion" or sequential approach to the introduction of this video was very effective when combined with the "getting home" personnel discussion on how you felt when back on Magic Carpet I (very good). The following traveling location shots and "a meal at home" was also well chosen to contrast the effort and focus of the limited block time work on Magic Carpet II and the personal stress that that produces compared to a more balanced approach to life. This is not meant as a critique but as a positive feedback on you "creative process" . I am slightly embarrassed to use such a public forum for these comments but it is all we have and I thought that you would like some feedback on your process / presentation. Bye
