Where will you take this amazing boat?
Hola amigos! Saludos from Yucatán! Just one safety related comment. Stu, using the cutting disc without the guard is pretty dangerous. Discs do shatter, not often but if they do, the pieces can fly off in the wrong direction and cause very serious injuries. The guards are a real pain to use but it’s highly recommended. A trip to the emergency room with a nasty injury is not desirable. Sorry to be a nag about this. Otherwise best regards and please stop by if you find yourselves sailing around these parts of the New World.
Was the snack at 9:54 part of your five a day?
Well done on another great vid. You are both crazy-brave tackling this project, each step is interesting. On those thru-hulls you glassed over; job well done. I couldn’t believe that earlier owners had put multiple thru-hulls so close together!
In 1911, a man by the name of Thomas Fleming Day sailed a 25.5 foot wooden boat named Sea Bird across the Atlantic… I dont know if that's where your Seabird got her name but I thought I'd share that tidbit with you anyway.
before you make your mind up how you are going to do your sola panels have a look at how (sailing melody) are doing theirs. just a thought you may like it
On the solar upright, make a 22.5 degree cut through each leg, then rotate the lower part 180 degrees and weld it back on. You now have a 45 degree bend without having to buy an elbow…
Fruit placement is on point this week, guys. No doubt that Stuart was responsible!
The solar panels position should not impair access to the boom for taking a reef for example…
Hundreds of details that I know nothing about. Keep up the good work.
Seabird is a massive rebuild and these two qualified craftsperson's know how to get the job done. The solar panel framework looks marvelous, allowing panels from the aft cockpit to the mast is absolute genius architecture. Truly amazing cinematography and editing, if you want to learn how to rebuild a *(ONE EURO SAILBOAT) this channel is a must see. Love the *(DUMPSTER RUNS); section at the end. Hopefully Stewart will include these as your episodes continue. Thank you so much for sharing! Bye
Make a spare solar rack for me while you're at it
It looks like the boom or the foresail will interfere with the solar mount being that high, unless at the stern. Maybe I am not seeing it correctly.
Nice content lot of fun to watch enjoy your game

Almost therapeutic watching your videos. @Marina, love your commentary.
Hi Marina and Stu!!
Just stopped by to watch another entertaining episode of your adventure… and of course: trying to help push the algorithms!!
Greetings from Houston!!
– Ricardo
Somebody knows their shit when it comes to welding just a guess!!
Where I grew up in the Florida Keys there was a old man who dove all the dumpsters in and around the marinas and boat yards for a few years he had a old beater of a wore out truck then one day he drove up in the fanciest truck I had ever seen. He told me the treasures of the dumpsters paid for it.
If we're going to watch the videos we going to comment…. In my opinion the whole interior should be addressed first…. The solar stuff can come later…. Just saying

You are getting there keep going you two nutters
