I'm trying to figure out how to send you a picture of M Y Launchpad in Ft lauderdale. Mark Zuckerbergs new boat.
Can AI help ..can they enter all the information they know about the boat the weather the damage to the boat ect..enter all those facts & measurements into a virtual reenactment program and see the results…or start with the results and have it explore all the possibilities.
Even using information from the divers about where the bodies were found.
..is that even AI ..
Unexpected extreme weather phenomenon. End of saga. What's to investigate exactly??
160mm? Really? Somebody never read the small print that said the vessel was for use in a garden pond. (Presumably billionaires have larger garden ponds than the rest of us.)
Thank you eSysman for the update report Bayesian and others…….
Old F-4 pilot Shoe
0:12 pic shows how easy it would be for water to flood over the deck and down inside the boat. There is an entrance just forward of the stern visible in that pic.
The description of the catastrophic events surrounding the sinking of the Bayesian reminds me of the events that inspired the movie, ‘White Squall’. A white squall (perhaps an American term) is most common in the Great Lakes and very rarely at sea. It is essentially a micro-burst which occurs out of nowhere. Preceded by intense lightning followed by massive, localised downpour and hurricane force winds (again localised), the ‘Albatross’ – a tall ship built initially as a pilot boat before being converted to a sail training ship was knocked down before sinking in a matter of seconds taking 6(?) crew with it. Events which sound uncannily the same as the Bayesian. The other similarity to note is that investigators questioned the Albatross’ stability after conversion when she was fitted with taller masts. The focus was on how the increased height impacted the ships righting moment.
The Jags will never be in the Super Bowl.
What a minute that Cayman Islands thing where the water came in the door whilst they were getting the jet-ski in, you said that the report states the yacht was built in 2012 before some regulation, however you think it was a yacht that was built in 2014. How can it be the yacht built in 2014 when you know the yacht was built in 2012?
Rest in piece
i was under the impretio that the shell door on the bayesian had been confirmed as closed. if i remember correctly the divers opend it to get into the ship.
Thanks again for the content
Been saying all along to remove the mast separately, makes sense
Why does a channel claiming to be a yacht channel have a sports car in his background
Baltic 3 crashing into shore?
Baltic 3 ran aground yesterday in winds
There is an important piece of information in the TGCOM24 clip you show at about min 3:20. This was aired on Italian TV a while ago and various people commented on it but not on this particular aspect. As you can see, all the mast light go off except for the anchor light on top, which is powered by a separate battery (on the bridge, I think) – many people noticed this early on and on other clips, Whoever, what they did not say is that at this point the angle of the mast with the vertical is about 9 degrees. To calculate the heeling angle one would need to know the orientation of the boat with respect to the viewpoint of the camera, but there are good reasons, based on AIS position data (not the faulty AIS heading) and the complete AIS data of Sir Robin, to think that Bayesian is viewed pretty much stern-on. Regardless, the heeling angle is nowhere close to the downflooding angle, so the blackout could not have been caused by water ingress from the openings on or near the deck. People say that the blackout was caused by the shutdown of the generator, and that this was related to water ingress from somewhere else. I cannot comment, but the clip seems very significant.
…was hoping the yacht would be raised mast intact…looking forward to a safe yacht recovery effort…from nz.
Let us hope that the kangaroo court doesn't continue & the crew members are being helped during this incredibly stressful time. As a Female Health Specialist, it sounds like the pervert masquerading as a Dr needs to be struck off! There is no reason for an internal nor intimate examination & if crew are symptomatic a chaperone is required especially for a male on female. How unprofessional
Vedle vrtačky tam najdou tu mašinu na ovládání počasí

Joooooo, takhle nekterejm lidem mrdá v palici

Alobalovy cepice NASADIT!!!!
you are not allowed to say that sailboat sank according to the designers ,, because it is unsinkable
Good plan removing the mast. I think the mast needs to be indited for reckless homicide.
Far easier than the Costa Concordia #costa_concordia so yes proof positive that anything and everything can happen that is bad when on the water

Interesting name for a motor yacht, “Emina”. Say that one ten times fast.
I think it would be brilliant if you could go there to report. However it may take a long time so probably tricky to assess the best time
hit job
I’ve been following this since the accident. Never seen any comments or request for comment to designer, Ron Holland. Any comments anywhere?

How do you sink an ocean-going yacht.? How indeed…RIP to the victims of that night.
I find it ridiculous that the Italian law system can implicate causing the sinking of a vessel to a deck hand.(among others onboard ). The charges are so serious, this could destroy his chances of any further marine employment.
By all accounts, he HELPED SAVE several of the clients on the boat. Also, I did see an article suggesting, with video shots, that the shell door was closed. Unless it was opened during the storm !
as a pilot you learn a lot of the unpredictable distructive nature of micro bursts… is it something new for a captain on ships? are they aware of contributing conditions? maybe there is a lack of knowledge (for amateurs), definitely some learnings regarding this catastrophic outcome?
thats a shame. i was looking forward to them righting the vessel first with pictures of a 20m mast sticking out of the water, 70m mast and its under 50m of water
Why nobody questioning the pic of the vessel. Used .the vessel picture seems to be not the Same vessel. The mast and shape of the superstructure and the white Hull above the water line?
